Hey Angel, think most of those poor soapies need to be taken out of the ugly box, they are definitely NOT ugly! I really really love both the blue ones, the fuschia one is awesome, and love the purple one also! Poor little soapies, you're giving them a complex, and think you should send them to me who will appreciate them and give them the respect they deserve! LOL

That's darling with those colorful baby blocks and very personal with the name bracelet! Don't drink the water! I hear ya on bringing your own water-I'd be ascared to go to work there! LOL I remember when I was working at a ped. office and we had to rotate working for the 3 drs. in the office, and every one of us that sat in this one chair ended up pregnant within 6 weeks of eachother (the exact amount of time of the rotation)! 3 of us as a matter of fact! LOL

Exactly! I know that when I go to craft shows, I'm looking for handmade items not those mass produced companies. I would though like Vicky suggested find out just how many others of your like will be there and how they will be setting you up (ie. how far away from eachother you will be etc.). Good luck to you in your show ventures.

It may just be that FO. Although I have made a ton of different types of shower gel scents, that is one scent I refuse to make (can't stand it LOL). BUT, the other day I made some using lavish Laundry and it turned the gel totally white, this is the first time I've ever had that happen. Did the supplier give you a max % load for this? I know most say 1oz per Gallon, but just curious if yours may be different since it's a concentrate. ??

Double wicking won't necessarily give a better scent throw. What it will most likely do is make your candle burn faster which with a 10oz jar I really would not want happening. I want me jars to burn at a slow even rate. Mind you I don't want them to burn so slow that people won't have to reorder for a year (exaggeration). These are more things to consider when choosing wicks and wick sizes. Some burn hotter than others and if you over wick you get soot, smoking, hot containers etc. That's why everyone just has to test for themselves to actually SEE what works and HOW it performs.

Ok where's the can of frosting when you need it! Holy smokes woman those cupcakes look so real! Awesome job! So was the whipped soap easy? Does it take longer to get firm? It looks so shiny and wet, so just curious. Are you selling these? If so, I'm sure they're gonna be a big hit!

Just start brainstorming. Start a list of names or even just words that you like and have friends, family members etc. Give you some ideas! Since you do so many different things you will want to keep it kinda "generic" (for lack of a better word) so that it can incompass everything you may be selling. You could have a business name that really is only significant to you but have a tag line to let people know what they will encounter- like "all things for your home" or "decor to make your house a home" etc. Just make sure that when you go to register it (like with GO DADDY etc.) that you purchase it right then and there-it seems a lot of people just wait for someone to check into a name and then pounce on it and then try and resell it for an outrageous amount! Grrrr

Since this post is not misser's they may not come back here. Why don't you just do a search for daystar oils? You'll get tons of reviews and recs.

Well if you're bound and determined to double wick this and you've already gotten advice from a "distributor" then why don't you just take THAT advice and test it out? If those wicks don't work then you can either go up or down and then test again-nothing else you can do since you are adamant about using those wicks.

Yep better to use a harder wax so they hold up better. If you do a search here you'll find tons of info including pics. Angie- adorable bear! please tell me that you don't have him sitting directly on that leather furniture though-eek! That's a big no no if there's FO in the wax-dont want to ruin your furniture girl!

I prefer the white as well. Very nice. Just in case you didn't know-you have a typo-avocados doesn't have an 'e' in it.

Are you sure there is no sustainer base? I'm just asking cuz I've been known to pull wicks outta their bases many a time-chaps my hide, let me tell ya. If there's not, yep, I'd be calling them up and chewing them out about it, but make sure first. If the wax looks kinda "bubbly" it could be a straight paraffin wax, or just a high melt point paraffin. I think I know what you're looking at. I see a lot of those type candles in cheaper stores (walmart, walgreens etc.). Not sure what you mean about the wick looking like fiberglass? It may have been primed heavily and that's why it doesn't bend as easily? I don't really know. Is it flat? Round? Does it have a core? Does it have little lines on it? Hmmm I've never heard of Empire Candles, off to do a search.

WOW Barbara! You are THE queen of HP! seriously, I've never seen such smooth HP soaps and the swirls are awesome as well! So, what makes this lavender different from others? Curious minds wanna know please!

I actually really like that soap and think you should send it all to ME where it will get the appreciation it deserves! As for your questions-i'll leave those up to the swirl queens- I can't get a decent swirl (not even HALF as good as yours) to save my soul, so I'm clueless.
