  1. These are scented with Almond/Vanilla. Need to come up with a name...I'm thinking Nutty Vanilla. These were made with Carrie's recipe. Using soy container wax and shea butter. I can see why they need to be in a push up or twist tube. They are slippery little suckers.
  2. Ok...I popped these out of the molds this morning. That's when I seen I screwed up...used palm container wax instead of soy container wax. They smell nice, (vanilla almond) but no lotion feel. Lesson here...don't use palm wax, don't make things up in a hurry. I'll try again today with soy wax.
  3. Thanks Carrie. I just poured 4 1/2 individual soap molds of this recipe. (1 pound) The 1/2 one, I'll use in the morning. I hope I like these...they are so easy to make.
  4. I mix my own. My Almond comes from Bramleberry's, and my Vanilla comes from Flickersfragrances. 1/4 oz. almond, 3/4 oz. vanilla to a pound of wax...soy or palm.
  5. Do you have a website address? Never heard of them. I know of www.flickersfragrances.com Her fragrance oils are great!
  6. Thank you. I think I'm going to be doing these and ice pillars for a while. Then I need to try some tilted ones. This is why I love making candles and soap (even if it is melt and pour). Just about anything you do will work somehow.
  7. This was my first attempt at swriling. They are cinammon vanilla. The cinammon was colored with cinammon liquid dye. The vanilla was not colored. I let the wax cool to 120. Using palm wax. I think it should of been cooler. The pictures are all 4 sides of each candle. Any suggestions to get a better swirl?
  8. Very nice. I like how easy they are to make.
  9. I buy from Flickers....haven't ordered those scents yet. Although everything that I have used from Rhonda has been excellent in Soy and Palm wax, and lotions and soaps. I need to order some stuff from her. Trying to wait until Tuscan Lace is back in stock. Go ahead and order...I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.
  10. If I was the customer...I would be very happy with them. They are very nice.
  11. The instructions are here. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73057 I need to get some citric acid to try these.
  12. I think it looks good. Love the label. Nice work.
  13. Thank you. You will love making these. I'm thinking about trying a 2" with smaller ice cubes.
  14. Very pretty. They are not only cool, but very easy to do.
  15. Here is how I did mine. Prepare your mold like normal....I wick mine first. Put in full size ice cubes, (your wax is ready to pour). Pour hot wax over the ice cubes. Let it set up. Dump the water out. Make sure the candle is competely dry. Poke some relief holes. Pour your second color. Let that set up. You are done.
  16. Thank you. I couldn't wait the 2 days to burn it. I had to start tonight. It's not scented, so really no need to wait. I wanted to make sure that the wick was totally dry before lighting it though. It's burning just like it should be.
  17. I do the same. The darker your chunks, the better.
  18. I didn't want to do black and white. I grew up on a dairy farm...seen enough black and white cows (holsteins). The first color was a dark red. The second pour was uncolored. No scent used on this one. I'm waiting a couple days to burn it. I am just amazed on how they turn out. I did an ice candle last summer...wasn't impressed. That one was without the second pour. These kind are much better looking.
  19. Congratulations on getting started to make soap. Yes you will need rubbing alcohol and a spray bottle. I use food coloring for my soaps. Works until I can get some dyes bought. Good luck, sounds like you have done your research.
  20. Thank you for the website. I'm on my way there next.
  21. Do you have a website for GoW? I need another supplier to check out.
