  1. I also use the presto pot and a ladel with soy wax. I need to get another one. *getdown*
  2. My goals for 2007: (1) Get a website with shopping cart made and online. (2) File paperwork, (receipts, invoices, etc.) as they come in. (3) Work on marketing. (4) Keep myself on track. Don't be doing 20 different things at once, (I have this habit).
  3. MP soap is all I have made. I just recently bought some low sweat cold process melt and pour from www.brambleberry.com and really like it. I'm more into candles right now than soap and bath products.
  4. Vanilla Supreme from www.flickersfragrances.com is really nice. Rhonda has great customer service also.
  5. Most of my fragrance oils come from flickerfragrances.com I get my wax from Let It Shine out of Seattle, WA. I get some fragrance oils from them also.
  6. Good Morning; www.flickerfragrances.com has a sinus relief fo. I haven't made a candle yet, but just smelling it out of the bottle opens my sinus' up.
  7. I haven't used a m & p oatmeal base, but with a regular base when adding oatmeal, I keep stirring until it starts to get thick, then pour. That way the oatmeal stays suspended in the bar of soap.
  8. I use the 4 oz tins for wickless candles. I did a craft show this last weekend and people just went nuts over them.
  9. Hi Kathy; When I make melts, I use the same wax that I am pouring already. Whatever is left after I pour my molds or containers. I wait to see if I need to do a second pour though before pouring the melts. I use a mini muffin pan, or small candy/soap molds.
  10. I use EcoSoya CB Advanced and EcoSoya Pillar/Votive wax. If I take my time and pour at 140 and pour slow, I usually don't have to do a second pour. I hate them also. I tap on the side of my container or mold with my spoon after I pour. This helps to get the air bubbles out. Linda Nelson
  11. I live in Mullan, ID and it really surprises me that Coeur d' Alene, or Spokane doesn't have some place to buy supplies. I've looked all over. I'm checking on Missoula, MT next. It's only 2 hours away. I buy my wax from candlescience. I have bought fo's from Peak though. I just ordered some boxes from Let it Shine, and a fo from Pourette. They are both in Seattle. Brambleberry is in Bremerton. (I don't know if that's spelled right) It's early. Linda Nelson
  12. Oooh nooo!!!! Don't give up on votives. Just keep making them, you will get the right combination for your votives to come out. I went through this also. I just kept on and finally it clicked. The same with pillars. No matter what they look like to you, I'm sure you have friends or family that can be testers for you. Give them one or two to try. My postmaster is one of my testers. She just went gaga over some scents that I got. When I can, I have stuff shipped to the post office. We can only pick our mail up at the post office here in Mullan, ID. Linda Nelson
  13. ok, I tried the glitter spray on a votive. I sprayed too close and too much in some spots. It goes on wet and then dries to glitter. I have silver spray and it didn't show up very good on a light green candle. This will take some practice. Linda Nelson
  14. I would ask why. Remember to ask questions that have to answered. Not yes and no questions. Make them tell you why you were rejected. Good luck. I really hope (for your sake) that they let you in. Linda Nelson
  15. I use EcoSoya Pillar/Votive wax and pour at 140 for my votives and pillars. I pour as slow as I can. If I don't get in a hurry and sloppy, I don't have problems. Most times, I don't need a second pour either. My molds are room temperature when I pour. It pays to take your time in the long run. Linda Nelson
  16. I bought some spray glitter yesterday from Walmart. It says it can be used on candles. I am going to try it today. Linda Nelson
  17. Thank you very much. It looks like I'll be ordering some more wick. Linda Nelson P. S. The candle turned out really nice, even if it doesn'nt burn right.
  18. I made my first chunk pillar today. I am using EcoSoya votive/pillar wax. LX26 wick. My chunks and overpour are the same wax. The candle is 4" dia. I have been buring it for 4 hours now. There is about 1" all around the candle. Is this how pillars burn? Or do I need to get a different wick? Thank you, Linda Nelson
  19. Where is "sweetpeaanme" located? I see several items I want to order. Thank you, Linda Nelson
