  1. Love that container I have used old enamelware buckets and such too. Also terra cotta works nice. Reminds me...I need to get some citronella and get my deck candles made
  2. Hmmm.... well it doesn't sound like the smell of the votive I have sitting here I am wondering if it is a renamed scent? But what scent!! Ack....
  3. I have a customer who gave me a candle that she bought at a craft/gift show. It is a votive, and was packaged 6 in the bag. They are sorta a bumpy grubby votive. The scent is called Tea Garden and she said she can't find them and loves them, and wanted me to make her more?? LOL! Help..anyone. It is kinda a spicey, cinnamon, floral?? LOL!! But I think my nose is broken...sniffin to many fragrances!!
  4. Shelly listed some awsome ones but another one to think about is http://www.bravenet.com I have used them for all my business newsletters and have the free account on all of them and love it. I get awsome feedback on my newsletters. Check them out. They are easy to use.
  5. Oh it looks awsome!! Bet it smells great too
  6. It won't let me see it?? Says I am forbidden.. LOL
  7. First let me say thanks to those who tooted my horn I know I am not allowed to promote my own company so I thank those who have posted about me and my business. 8. Hmmm..I have never seen the special wick..but will now be lookin for them.
  9. I used to sell HI and did only because I could get candle cheaper!! LOL I loved their candles when I first started with the company...and then over a few years of selling them it seemed they raised prices and lowered quality. The candles didn't smell as strong as they once had. My fav was baked apple and lemon chiffon,..but even those don't smell very strong anymore. And..the soot was always bad!! Well I started making my own...soy and will never burn a HI one again!! Not even a soy one.. and especially at that price for an 8 oz candle! Insane!! But people will buy them because they are HI?? Push your candles....bet they are way better!! LOL
  10. I use an essential oil and make large container candles for my deck and they work nicely Boy does that clear your sinus's when your pouring them too... LOL I don't see why a pillar wouldn't do just the same?? Give it a whirl.
  11. Neat!! I have tried and tried with other wood to make the candles so can't wait to see what their wicks look like and how they work.
  12. Awsome!! Are they soap or bath melts?? Yummmy
  13. Depending on the type of pillar wax you use, it works fine for container candles. I have used my eco soya pb in containers (mini masons, wide mouth ball 16 oz, 10 & 16 oz apothecary) but do upwick at least two sizes from what I would have in that jar if I just used container wax. Works great!! The nice thing with a pillar wax is the ability to make a grubby/chunky candle. One that is whipped till chunky then poured..pillar wax is best for that. Just experiment...that is all one can do.
  14. I also sell potpourri with different shapes in it. I sell in bulk If you have question hollar
  15. I haven't tried any orange clove from any certain companies..but do get the spiced orange from BCS.. love it! I do however use my BC fresh squeezed oranges and clove and make my own mix.. and love that too That took some testing, but happy with the results.
  16. Denise, I have not made that particular scent..but do make alot of candles with a heavy scent and I use 100% ezsoy, add my color at 175 degrees...cool to 125-135, add my fo, cool to slush (about 100) and pour. I use lx 24 in that size jar with a heavy fo. Hope this helps
  17. OMG.. I am going to my local walgreens.. LOL I love those first ones and they would do soo well in my craft booth And in my online craft booth Thanks for posting those
  18. :laugh2: I thought that too... hehehe
  19. As far as I know you can't buy them. There are a few companies that do the wooden wick candles, but for the wicks themself.. it is their secret. A new site that sells them actually advertises with me and she did fill me in on the wood wicks they make/sell. I have one of her candles that I just did a review on and I love it!! I am sure it won't be long and somebody will sell the stuff to do them.. LOL! Seems when something is new..everyone wants a piece of it.. LOL
