  1. Sorry, I forgot to mention the UV, but since it hadn't seen much light of any kind, I didn't think about it. I did add it though. Maybe I'll try again using some other FO and see what happens. Smileys have rearranged and they don't click... Added: We went and poked around "The Worlds Largest Yard Sale" today and My oh my! I got about 30 new stuffed animals for 10 bucks. Mostly Christmas and about half are white. They started out $1 each, then when she found out what I was doing, she just started tossing mor and more in, for craft's sake! Somwmen, polar bears, even some Christmooses I've got plenty of white to practice on now...LOL
  2. Great site! Thanks for answering yourself
  3. You could pour it solid then drill the hole afterwards.... but I'd invest in wick pins
  4. It's been a little less than a month I think. And actually yellowish I could understand, but this is orange. You ever seen someone who wanted a tan without the sun and used a cream? This teddy looks like he tried that and just as splotchy in coloring too...LOL
  5. Love the hurricane! I kinda like the lamp idea and soap dishes too
  6. is no longer white! How he's orange Well, mostly orange anyway. I notice he was ivory last a couple weeks ago and that seemed ok. This looks awful! I used 4625 and Lilac FO (perfectly clear) so this makes no sense. He's been in a dim room and in plastic since he first started turning ivory. I pulled the plastic bag down so it would show a bit more... I like the white bears, but will avoid them if necessary. Anyone have any ideas?
  7. You'd find it with the other household type glues, like rubber cement or epoxy in hardware or paints. It comes in a tube on a cardboard hanging package thingy Many different brands and looks, but heres one...
  8. I haven't had a chance to try mine yet. Not to mention I have to clue where to start testing wicks. I don't much care for zincs Maybe I'll get to them while I'm off this week
  9. I love the red one! The other one makes me feel like I need to take some aspirin
  10. Put your wick in before pouring the wax in, unless you're wanting to test for wick size. This might help.. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1433 http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1677
  11. Pourette has a double mold... http://www.pourette.com/product.asp?Product_Id=27555&d_id=6911&l1=6911&l2=
  12. I use the Q-tip method for mixing and sniffing. And since I have so many empty 1 oz sample bottles, they work perfect when you cut the Q-tips in half. I put a little label on them and make tally marks for how many of each scent I drop in when I add more. The scent doesn't fade or mix with other test scents like in the zip baggies I tried.
  13. Must be my old eyes, I don't see any crackling. They're very pretty though
  14. For some reason, I rarely get pitting with aluminum molds. If I over heat the metal molds, then I usually do
  15. Click on "commercial thermometer" in her post. It's a link
  16. The only hurricane mold I have is 5" square. To me it's a royal pain to unmold...lol

  20. Alot of places carry those molds, Candlewic does anyway. Umm... heat + plastic = not good
  21. Pillar and votive waxes aren't used much for containers because of the higher melt point and the shrinkage. Heat guns.... scroll to bottom. http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Discussions;action=display;num=1112822236;start=20#20
