  1. I have one from soapsupplies.net that has not turned in a week now, still looks fine. Paige states that her Pink Sugar does not discolour. Paul
  2. The type I have used for the past 2 years do just fine in my wood molds. I am the one that got all this started, and I have not had a single TOG customer who likes to CPOP have any issues with theirs in an oven up to 170 degrees. Paul....
  3. I'd like to see a picture, Jamie. Thanks. You can remove the wooden top after gel. You want the soap to cool as fast as it can after achieving gel, so you don't need to leave the wood top on it. HTH Paul....
  4. Jo Ann, I added it just like you would use soy oil as a oil in your soap. I thought, like most seen to think, it would add hardness to my soap, and it did. That was the main reason, coupled by the fact that I has about 15 pounds sitting in my candle area. As ling as it was 100% soy flakes....I thought it would be fine. Like I said I have not used it in at least a year or so, just went on to a better recipe. Paul....
  5. It's been at least a year since I tried it, but I used it a few times and do think I remember it did inhibit the lather at the amount I used. I think it was +- 25% area. I think it did harden my GM bars though. Paul....
  6. Another vote for Mike and his bunch at Columbus Foods! Great products, fast shippers! Can't say enough good for Mike and Co. Paul....
  7. If you want, I will share with you a pretty good soap I call "Wal-Mart Soap recipe." You can buy every ingredient at Wal-Mart, except the lye where you can buy at Lowe's. It's called Roebic's Heavy Duty Crystals, and it is 100% sodium hydroxide (lye) and costs about $7.00 or so for 2 pounds. PM me if you want the Wally World recipe. It is a 5 oils/fats recipe. Paul.... ;0
  8. Thanks for you concern my friend CareBear. I have been working 6 full days per week and today I had to work this afternoon. I had 4 custom TOG 8 Wire Bar Cutters to get out in the mail tomorrow. Done. Thanks again, I'm doing very well though, haven't felt better in a long time.... Paul;)
  9. Hey you guys are making me blush, and I really thank all for the support. I want to provide a superior wood crafted mold that is priced well below what others are asking for something similar. The 3 weeks that have went by since I debuted the TOG 12/24 Bar Slab Mold W/Dividers and Lining System is my very favorite mold, to make, to use, to sell for a great price. All you need to do is after set-up and cooling, like 8 Granones mentioned, the soap will fall out of the mold when turned up-side-down, and all you need to do is peel off the dividers, and the bars will easily remove from the dividers! It is completely CPOP safe too, besides having a wood top. Next weekend, hopefully, I will be debuting my newest Slab Mold in this series. It is my TOG 20/40 Bar Slab Mold With Dividers, Liner system and Wood Top. It is exactly like the 12/24 Slab Mold and the baby of the group, the TOG 6/12 Slab Mold. It will hold 66 ounces for 20 bars poured to a 1" depth, and 132 ounces of oils for a double pour 2" deep to make 40 bars. So if anyone wants a really large production mold, hang on tight for a few more days!
  10. I've listed more for the weekend pricing. Paul....
  11. Id say; Wait until next weekend to see the large version of the basic 12/24 Bar Mold. Paul.....
  12. I'll send a recipe with your mold Jamie. Paul....
  13. The special price you got it for is good, it won't be any lower in the CO-OP. I swirled in this little guy and really liked it. If a person doesn't like it, not a big waste. It's just fun playing in this little guy. Paul....
  14. Nope! Look again at the salt bars 8GranOnes did, this was done in my Slab Mold w/Dividers. Paul....
  15. I'm listing it this afternoon later at my shop as a "special" this weekend. It makes 6 or 12 bars. I love that little guy as it is so easy to swirl in. 24 ounces or 48, it is just as cute as a bug! Paul....
  16. I buy deer tallow from a woman online, bought 9 pounds a year ago. I won't go into selling soap with deer tallow for fear of causing a mad house, beleave me, it has happened at another forum! I do use it for my personal soaps and love it! It makes a white bar and a hard bar. Shhhh Paul, be quiet now!!! Paul....
  17. LOL, adding 1/8", perhaps sometime, it just doesn't work out in a 10" by 10" frame. Here you go; http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7768290 Paul....
  18. I'm going as a vendor, showing all my TOG Soapmaking Tools and giving away a TOG Mold, maybe a TOG 8 Wire Cutter. I am doing a demo on goat milk RTCP using room temp oils and room temp premixed lye solution. While doing the demo in one of my TOG 12/24 Bar Slab Molds, it will be given away after the presentation to a lucky attendee! I hope to meet many of you guys there! It's going to be a blast! Paul....
  19. My TOG 12/24 Bar Slab Mold W/ Dividers is lined as all my TOG Molds are, and the bars are 2-1/2" by 3-3/8" just 1/8" shorter than you wanted. I can make one exactally what you want if need be.
  20. Well, I test drove the new TOG Mini 6 bar Slab Divider Mold today. It holds 24 ounces of oils to make a batch of 6 bars, 3-3/8" long by 2-1/2" high by 1-1/8" thick. It was really cool to swirl in this size mold! You get 6 bars, kinda fun and cool! Paul....
  21. In soaps, I've used rain water collected out from the house with a large plastic funnel in a plastic bucket to catch it in. I then filter it through a pitcher filter, a Britta, just to make sure there is nothing else in there. Don't do it all the time, and never for my lotions, creams or anything like that, just soap. Spring water....like careBear, why not? Paul....
  22. Advice taken, mold under construction shortly.:smiley2: Paul....
  23. I totally agree! You did an outstanding job. I made one really nice swirl......once. LOL You might want to put one up and save it, kinda like the first dollar made in a new business venture! I am having a hard time not coming back to stare at them. Truly gorgeous! Paul....
  24. Your beautiful coloured soap makes your TOG Mold look great! A larger model like this TOG Mold is coming out very soon, just because asked really nicely!:smiley2: Paul....
