  1. Welcome to the dark side . I use IGI 4794 for my tarts. They're easy to make and lots of fun. Good luck!
  2. I just got my first bottle of Iced cinnimon rolls from NG and it is AMAZING! I can actually smell the roll and the icing! I know it's old news for most but I just had to post. This is my first 1lb FO purchase. Everyone on here gave it such good reviews I went ahead and bought 1 lb and crossed my fingers. I am sooo glad I did. Thanks everyone!
  3. Wish I could help but I really have no idea...Did you try E-Bay?
  4. Just wanted to let you know, I am pretty sure you have to be a member for 30 days and have at least 8 posts before you can PM anyone or look at the classified sections. The Mods can help you out with board usage questions if you post them in the board usage questions. HTH and welcom to the board. Back on the subject....I've not ordered from them before but I have a horrible time with their website also. I am using a cheap wireless router to work from my laptop so I always assumed that was my problem.
  5. Thanks for all the input everyone...I really appreciate it. My favorite is Jay Ashby and Co. but my son was heartbroke when I ran it by the family. I thought maybe Jayko & Ashby Candle Company? If not I'll problably have to go a new route. I don't want any of the kids to feel left out.
  6. Absolutely beautiful...as always:D
  7. Damn you're good at this, I like this one too! Decisions...decisions.
  8. It's actually just my four children's names put together. I pronounce it... ash-el jay-ko(long a and o on the last part). Maybe I should give it more thought:D THanks for the input I'm sorry, my brain isn't working yet...I guess it would be easier to tell you the kids' names. Ashlyn, Shelby, Jadyn & Kody (We call Jadyn Jay bird)
  9. Ok, one vote in...My daughter says it's stupid...
  10. I have never had a show but I know, as a consumer, I don't feel comfortable going in a booth. Also, If it's too crowded, I skip it all together. HTH
  11. I don't sell candles yet (and won't for a while) but I want to make nice labels for them. I need to come up with a name before I can design the label though. I was thinking of... Ashel-Jayko Candle Company I was hoping for some input. Is it catchy or goofy or just plain strange TIA, Kim
  12. Ooooh...I knew it would be tough to decide. So many FO's so little time .
  13. If you could only have ONE supplier for your FO's...who would it be.
  14. I bought this from BCN (it was from the BNL line) and it almost made me sick. I know i put too much in my candle. what % did you use? It's a true scent and I know if I could calm it down a little I would like it more.
  15. i didn't see any that small on her site. These were probably the size of a dime in diameter and must have been made from a 3-d mold. I wish I could find that picture...they were adorable.
  16. I saw a picture of a glass votive holder with tiny wax roses in it and wicked but I can't find it now (go figure). Does anyone know where to get a mold to make these?
  17. Didn't see this (it's been a LONG Monday). If they are good candles maybe you could put a little sign out that says "discontinued scents" and business cards next to it.
  18. I am going to have to agree with Michael AND Kristine. I don't see anything wrong with selling your products at a garage sale. It's a good way to get your product out there and if people like it, the power of word of mouth is priceless. This is where I agree with Michael, If you are going to display your product make sure it's your highest quality products not your rejects. Your name is on the label and you don't want anyone walking away thinking you offer anything less than the best.
  19. I'm a newbie so I'm just here for moral support until the troops arrive. I made 2 rustics so far. The first one I did the same way you do and it gave me more of a marbled glaze over my candle (which I actually kinda like) but I was going for a rustic so the 2nd one I made I put the mold in the freezer before I poured and I got texture that time. Maybe that will work for you? i think they look good even if they aren't as "rustic" as you would like
  20. I'm not sure about them but if you're in Northern IL you might want to check out Bitter Creek at least for your wax. It will save you a ton on shipping charges and they are really fast about processing orders http://www.candlesupply.com/
  21. It looks wonderful...I can't wait to try one.
