I am going crazy trying to wick my containers . Can anyone at least point me in the right direction. I'm using 4630 with 1oz/pp FO and a 3" dia. container. I have one drop of liquid dye/8oz. Right now the zincs are winning but I was wondering if this is the ONLY wick that works or if someone has had success with a different type. Thank you SOOO much in advance, Kim
I know I asked this before but now I can't remember..Is it June 24th or July 24th. The home page says June but the general info tab says July :undecided
Yeah!!! My favorite thread . I'll be working on my swap items all weekend for the Bitter Creek convention next week (nothing like waiting til the last minute). I can't wait! Hope everyone has a great holiday!
Robin asked if someone could post this thread while she is gone. Sorry this is late :rolleyes2 . I'm still testing my 4630 wax after almost a year of testing J223 and giving up on it. Things seem to be going pretty well. I am very happy with the Tibetan Amber from NG and I could eat the CS banana nut bread. I've been testing it at work and everyone that walks by wonders where the food is at . I hope everyone has a good weekend and good luck to everyone with shows!
Well Robin I'm glad everythings OK. Sounds like you need a vacation. I don't usually post to the "Whats in your pot this weekend" threads because all i'm ever doing is testing!:rolleyes2 But I love to read them. This weekend I am pouring my final (hopefully) test candles for CS Banana Nut Bread and NG Tibetan Amber. I think I finally have these worked out.
I wanted to post a picture so you could see it. I had someone ask me if it was ricing but I didn't notice anything strange when I poured it. Is this something you would see before or after your pour.
Thanks you for all of your replies. I really appreciate the help. Carebear...It IS a fishy smell! I hope it goes away. It's been around 28 hrs since I poured it. How long does it usually take? Doris...I don't think the oils are bad because I just bought them but I've never bought oils before so if they came that way I wouldn't know. They don't have a "bad" smell in the bottle. Candlespa LOL...Not making it right is probably what happened but I hope not . Meredith...I don't know if it morphed or not, it's my first but I can still smell the FO separate from the fishy smell so I hope that's a good sign. I added 1oz/pp of FO and the oils were Palm/coconut/apricot kernal/castor Thanks again everyone!!!
OK..I made my first CP soap today and I think it smells strange (I used candlescience honeydew melon). I can smell the FO but I can also smell what the oil/lye mixture smelled like before the FO was added. I hope that made sense.
Just thought I would see what FO's throw the best for everyone else. My best thrower, by far, is Creme Brulee from BCN. I doesn't matter what I put that FO in, it will fill up the whole house! Yummy!
Thanks for the reply. I have a text logo now that I do change colors on but I'm wondering, if I buy a custom logo from a graphic designer, will I be able to adjust the color on that. I really want a logo no one can duplicate (easily anyway) but I have to be able to adjust the color.
I was thinking about having a custom logo done but I just want a signature text logo. Can you change the color of the logo to match your labels (I use alot of different graphics) or do you just get black text?
I want to stock around 20 scents. The tree display is only 2 1/2 ft so I think the baskets are pretty small but I love the filler idea. I was wondering what I would do if I got baskets that we too big.
I was thinking about basket too.:highfive: I found this online last night. What do you think? http://www.texasbasket.com/display/index.html also found this one... http://www.avdm.com/6countertop1.html
I am thinking about doing a small show in June to get my feet wet but I have no idea how to display my individually wrapped tarts. No one really seems to know much about tarts in this area so I think if I can diplay them well I can really sell them. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. TIA, Kim
