i have been in the restaurant business for 18 years. i work 55+ hrs per week and would love to pursue candle making as an alternative job.....although i am realistic in the fact that i'd be taking a big pay cut! but i love making candles..i just can't get enough!

  1. thanks E...that's a great idea...i never would of thought of that!
  2. E..as i've said before...you are definately the rustic QUEEN!!!! I love everything you do! BUT...why a pan of dried beans??
  3. WOW!! I love them both!:highfive:
  4. I know it's the law that you put the ounces on your jars. So i was wondering if you put the ounces of the jar size or the actual ounces of wax that you put in the jar. Does it matter?
  5. wannabe!!! more like i wannabe as good as you!! very nice. i'm gonna post some of mine soon...i think i'm getting better.
  6. i think they look absolutely gorgeous. where'd you get the butterscotch brownies from...i'd love to try it. sounds delicious! great job!
  7. ok...thanks for all the advice...i've decided not to reuse the wax!
  8. well,l i just went to lonestars website. already shows discontinued. i guess i got the last case...lucky me!! i love this wax too. if you find something similar let me know!
  9. even though it's been discontinued...i just bought a case from lonestar. i already got it so i guess they still had or have a supply. you might wanna check it out soon!
  10. thanks..but why does it matter if it's the same fragrance since the smell is all gone?
  11. i have a crazy question. my mom uses a candle warmer thingy instead of lighting the candles. she has a lot of candles with the wax all there but the smell is gone. she wants me to just use the old wax and just add the FO. will this work? or should i just use new wax?
  12. yes yes yes....very nice. i love them. don't change a thing!!!
  13. first of all..kalamazoo...your unscented purple ones look amazing!!! second of all...eugenia...you are just a candle making GOD!!!
  14. i don't see what's wrong with them? i think they look VERY nice!
  15. Eugenia!!! I have been waiting for your response...because you ARE the rustic QUEEN!!!! i don't chill or freeze the mold...but is it ok to put the cooled candle in the mold in the freezer for a few minutes to help the release? what i'm displeased about is a few things. i get a half rustic and half mottled candle it seems. also the swooshing lines seem to be very noticeable and not "smooth" does that make sense? they just don't turn out like yours!!!!!!!! i think i could be doing something wrong with the swooshing part?? dcrome---thanks..you're sweet!!
