  1. I'd call it a "floral"~one of their "house blends"; strong and sticks very well. Here's what it says on the scentreviewboard: http://scentreviewboard.obisoap.ca/viewtopic.php?t=2751 It does give a slight pinkish color, as I didn't color it at all. The only added color is the chunks of Orchid~the Pink Sugar went naturally brown, of course, as everyone has experienced. I can't tell you about whether is misbehaves in CP, but does fine in HP.
  2. I love doing confetti soaps. This base is scented with Rhapsody from Bear Labs, with Pink sugar and Orchid bits in it. (they don't come through much with scent) HP'ed
  3. "Martha Molds" are what I've used in abundance. The Martha Stewart plastic drawer organizers at KMart. 1 holds 3lbs of soap and then you can just slice it in about 1" sections. they sell'em in single and 3 divided trays~last through MANY soapings. Line 'em with freezer paper and just grease up the ends with vaseline. Here's my first batch of HP in the 3-fer tray
  4. Looks yummy yummy!!! And that's Soap Goddesses!! Girl Power! LOL
  5. go to super Walmart and get almost 2lbs of coconut oil for under 3 bucks (Louana)~I use it in every batch 15-25%. As CareBear said, go to soapcalc.com and research the properties of the oils.
  6. go to soapcalc.com and play around with the numbers. You need to get familiar with the properities the oils/fats bring to the soap to determine what it is you are looking for in your "ideal" bar. Everyone is looking for various different qualities and you may prefer creamy bubbles to big bursting bubbles, for example. There's a lot of homework involved before you dive into that first batch~read up and get a good base knowledge, then you can start oil shopping. I'm still a newbie (learned last summer) learning something new every day when it comes to soapmaking, that's for sure.
  7. "Medusa" (after the beheading~LOL)
  8. My 1 and only batch of CP bears a resemblance to yours only because it was pink~nowhere close to how pretty yours are. I do cphp too~I didn't care for the cleanup with cp. Yours swirlies are divine.
