  1. Hi Lisa! Good to see you here. There's LOTS of info for you to read~I learned a ton here, but haven't been active this past year~been doing other things.:rolleyes2 hugs, B
  2. I never use palm and only a couple times used PKO. I use coconut instead of PKO.
  3. Oh, now that is just totally awesome!!!! LOL Makes you happy to just look at it!!
  4. That's gorgeous~nice and smooth and creamy textured top. The color is lovely too!
  5. That is some kick-ass looking soap! I love it!
  6. Pretty pretty! I wonder if it will darken? Keep us posted on the color.
  7. Update us when you cut it! Congratulations:yay: on your "first born"!!! LOL
  8. :highfive: Looks great!! Good Job!
  9. Green grass, blue sky, fresh air! Turned out perfectly for the scent!
  10. It took me almost a year to try CP. I learned on HP, and just stayed with it until I couldn't stand seeing all the pretty colors and swirlies and such. When I saw the RT slideshow, that just pushed me over to "the cold side"~LOL! Don't be afraid to experiment and give it a try (or 2 or 3)*. *As long as you have a working knowledge of soap-making/safety/oil properties etc. first.
  11. I got raspberry and blueberry fiber from Glorybee, intending to use for color (don't bother~goes various brown shades), and found it does make a nice scrubby. (just beware it will discolor your soap) I just put cornmeal in a kitchen bar and that works nice too, although it's not as "fine" looking as the fibers are in the soap.
  12. Backwood's Blackberry Patch~I used less intense color with the neon colors. The "blue" turned more turquoise, and the "purple" went peachy pink, but I'm happy with the batch~could be way worse! ~LOL. I'm loving this method, and put my crockpot away. :rolleyes2
  13. The squat jar seems more stable and appeals more to me too. How about an asst. of stars and hearts? They are adorable.
  14. LaVida, I put solid deer tallow and coconut oil in my plastic bucket, then added the just mixed very warm lye water. Stick blended/chopped at with a spoon until smooth, then added my corn and soy oils~stick blended to trace. That's when I removed the bit I colored, added my FO to the main portion ~poured that into the mold~plopped the colored part on top and attempted some swirlage. Then tucked it in some towels and proceeded to peek under the covers like oh, every 15 minutes! LOL Still turned out fine! And that's all the advice you get because it's the only batch of RT CP I've done~ROFL!!!
  15. OOOohhhh..now that just sounds scrumptious reading the title~the colors are very soothing.
  16. I love patriotic jewelry! I'm wearing a necklace right now that I received in a swap that has the cutest flag design polyclay beads. (Tish from SW made it!) They make fun pieces to wear for holidays or whenever.
  17. Well, if I go up 85 today on my way to Greeley, I'll wave atcha! LOL:p
  18. OMG! I'm a convert! Now I have to learn how to swirl color~(off to research another million threads......LOL) Jcandleattic, I'm in Littleton! cut this morning:
  19. This method is so uncomplicated~no waiting for this or that to heat or cool, no worrying about temps, ~ I don't know why I was so afraid of CP, but this was a snap. I've always loved the creamy appearance of CP. I don't find any dif in the actual soap's performance (HP vs CP), but being as we're such visual creatures, this is much more fun to "gussy up".
  20. I've never done CP soap b/4, only HP, but this slideshow from a "brainstorming night" here in town , pushed me over the edge because it looked so dang EZ! So I gave it a go and have it in the mold now~RT CP My very first!! Now I'm hoping for the best come morning.(scented w/ Peppermint Twist and I took out a cup of soap for each color~Neon green and Neon pink~attempted swirls with a wooden skewer) http://www.slide.com/r/KOBcxWUVwz-w1GFV5rWAAAHhcr6JZePg?previous_view=mscd_embedded_url
