  1. No. I used to buy five different Gonesh Cones and just burn one of each and often together. I keep thinking about making the mix though. I may have to try it sometime.
  2. For soap, Lebermuth's blend and what I have left of Red Santal are going to be for soaps only. Both were expensive, but Lebermuth's was by far the most outrageous, so it's getting limited. It would be too costly in a candle or incense for sure. I won't say the price, because I should be committed for spending that for a pound and I'm not ready for a padded cell yet. I need to find the perfect straight sandalwood though that's stronger than NG's Indian Sandalwood. I want a Red Santal match and I'm not finding that right now, but Red Santal wasn't cheap at that time either.
  3. Yes, it's freaking me out lol! I mean I have loads of patch and no one wants it after stocking up on it before pricing went wild. Now everyone wants sandalwood and I'm like ... uh oh. I definitely was not prepared for this at all, even though I've been hunting for the perfect sandalwood, which falls into my top three scent loves. I won't deny that.
  4. Well I have always wanted to order from her and have not, so I'm no help, but I would be interested in the experience you have as well as what others have had. I sort of spent about too much money in two days and am under close supervision that I use what I got before I will be allowed to ever order again
  5. The one fragrance I have never put together, yet it's supposed to have an odd appeal for people. Tell me what's it like? The only pumpkin scent I think I own any more is pumpkin ginger snap so I don't think it would work out for a personal test.
  6. Would like to know how your tests are going and if you try that watermelon and cherry combo. You can make anything work with some perseverence
  7. Oh no I don't. Scents and trends are so specific to areas. Where I live there still is that clean-fanatic cell. You just have to watch your area and the sales and watch what your customers are being drawn to as they pick up candles to sniff etc. Like I said long ago, my state is at least five years behind the trend lol.
  8. Both places have always made their orders right when there have been mistakes or damages or items missing and neither should be on a "beware" list of any kind except maybe a beware you may spend too much. Seems logical to call to try to solve the problem before initiating a high alert.
  9. Oh and mountainy to me would be getting that oakmoss and amber combination scent. I believe Backwoods has one and it's very intriguing as is her Earth Goddess.
  10. I use the UV from Peak's all the time as I do have problems with purples going gray, pinks going funky and red's fading. Hell I even had green go brown.
  11. How mountainy are you wanting to get? You are probably going to have to mix on your own here, but ... I'm thinking wild huckleberries and a cedar scent might be interesting ... or a mix of spruce, cedar, patch (for the earthiness) and a splash of a water scent or maybe even honeysuckle or honeysuckle and hint of blueberry. I think Candle Cocoon used to have a wildflower scent (not of its typical line) and it was nice. I don't know if she still has anything though. Going to say I don't think the cracklin' birch will be all that mountainy. To me it's a very nice fragrance, but it isn't woody and it has not of perfume to it.
  12. I have some from Southern Gardens. To my recollection, it isn't moving very well here. I'd sell you what's left of it if you wanted to try it. I haven't put it in candles to try it. I just went with soap. I wasn't a big fan of it and I wasn't at B&BW either. There are just some fruit scents that don't do it for it (quite a few of them actually).
  13. I think it's still active Jack. Those type of scents tend to lead to a clean house smell and don't hover as long as heavier (is my guess as to what's behind the craze.) I also think that herbal scents are still trending and people enjoy the properties they bring about. What I have noticed is that the harder it is to get a scent, like patch was not too long ago, the more people want it. Now there seems to be a big focus on Sandalwood.
  14. I think she's graduallly coming back into business and restocking through prebuys Jack, but elements was and is still carrying some I believe. Day-Star carries some unique ones, I think.
  15. OK I'm going to toss rhubarb into this mix. Rhubarb and Gooseberry pies ... yum! And, OK, watermelon. Those were all things to look forward to summer along with grilled hamburgers and dogs and S'mores (and a S'more scent would be a good summer choice) along with cherry pies. I gotta stop.
  16. I wouldn't exactly say like lol. But I will tell you that an incense combination of patch, jasmine and vanilla was always one of my favorite combos to burn.
  17. NG's the only one I know of with review submittals. I can't say I'd be surprised if it was them, but I guess I kind of would be, because there are some not so glowing reports there too.
  18. Patchouli and almost anything ... I grew up a tomboy and we made forts and such.
  19. If Cherry is so much stronger you might try a 9:1 with watermelon as the nine and maybe make the 1 for cherry a .5
  20. Use the Qtip method before you make the batch. See if 3:1 Almond to Peppermint works and try it 4:1 and 5:1 etc. Do the same with the watermelon. It depends on how powerful your cherry scent is. If you like the mix you come up with then mix it 3 parts to 1 part, let sit for 12 hours and then add another part if you don't like it, let sit. The Qtip method only gives you an idea of what it could be like.
