  1. Where are they? I've bought so much stuff from so many people. Lots on ebay. Got burned a couple of times. Have bought embeds and paid priority shipping that took almost 3 wks.
  2. I made another one the other night but sold it before I could even take a pic. I used yellow and just the tip of a toothpick of orange. Got it nailed. Tested it in a bar.
  3. My sister gave me one of those jars today. I thought they were called "status jars" and couldn't figure out why.
  4. I like the clear labels, too. Been thinking about doing them.
  5. I made this tonight after seeing the pic Nayarx8 did and asking her advice. Be kind, I've had 8 beers and put up with my husband that I found out has been running around! Gotta do something! Tried to upload, but my pic wouldn't cut it www.photos.yahoo.com/lucidownsouth Be kind. I made 3 and packaged one.
  6. Thanks for that suggestion. You folks on here are so clever and resourceful.
  7. From what I can tell, there's no one at ours except on Saturday. Didn't get there this weekend cause we had a big festival here and don't know how to contact them. Hopefully, they have a price like what you're getting for the whole season. Might be too hot, though, for a lot of it. It's REALLY hot and humid here.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll have to break down and go to Myrtle Beach to Staples or Office Depot. I just hate going into MB during the heighth of the tourist season. But only have Walmart here in town and they don't have much more than basic mailing labels. Oh, well, can stock up on stuff from Sam's while I'm there!
  9. I've even started asking folks I know that might be traveling to Ohio or one of the other states to let me know so I can rent some of their trunk space! Shipping costs me more than the items I order sometimes.
  10. Thanks for clearing that up about m&p. I pretty much thought exactly what you said, prairieannie, but started wondering after some of the posts I read. M&P makes me feel like such a cheater after seeing the beautiful soaps you folks have posted. And I think I did notice a difference in the "clean" feeling after purchasing some "made from scratch" goat milk with shea butter soap from S&S. In any case, thanks so much for answering!!
  11. I've used the one from S & S. Very nice and light.
  12. Sorry about all the questions, but the more I look at the gallery at the beautiful pics, the more I want to know. My VERY limited experience in soap making has been with using the molds that make individual bars. I am loving the big slabs some of you are posting. What are they called and where do you get them? Are they only for from scratch recipes? How much do you make at one time? Those of you with the swirls, etc. are just too cool. I do have one big loaf mold that came with a kit that I've never used. Don't have a soap cutter,:tiptoe:
  13. I have been shrink wrapping mine right after I take it out of the mold. Sometimes I use it right away.
  14. I've been on this site for a short time and have learned so much and now need to learn more! At the risk of sounding more blonde than usual, does the M & P base have lye? I have read tons on M & P and chickens like me not wanting to mess with lye. Ten I read a comment about not being able to make soap without lye. I have bought stuff to do "rebatching" but wasn't happy with my results. I think I just added too much essential oils. But I'm really worried if I am clean enough after bathing in the M & P. I mainly use the goat milk with shea butter. I like the way it lathers and feels on my skin.
  15. These look so labor intensive and like they belong on the sweets table at a wedding reception. Beautiful!! My bathroom is too dirty and tacky for them!
  16. Went to your link. Like their prices, but the website isn't the easiest to get around on. I like a company that lists whether fragrance oils are gel, soy, and body safe.
  17. I tried a search on ebay but didn't come up with it. Not an auction or bin.
  18. Would love to rub some of that on me right now!! I haven't tried that scent, but I will next chance I get.
  19. Thanks for that link. I have bookmarked it!
  20. I am still trying to learn all the abbreviations. What is WSP?
  21. The pic isn't clear for me. I know what you mean about the layers. I also followed the rules, but the layers still separated. I gave up on trying layers.
