Our VFW Ladies Aux unit adopted a unit sent to Iraq. We collected these as well as the shampoos, etc. and sent to the troops. They were much appreciated. Lots of folks were buying bulk detergent, etc. and giving it to us. Problem was, we had to bag these in small portions. Those folks can only move around with little bits in their backpacks. Don't have a group doing that? The comments above about the homeless and women's shelters are right on. They need everything!

Thanks for that quick reply. I was able to im her & she took a peak. That's close and she likes those, but is "stuck" on finding the other site. By the way, I took a peak at your site. Nice candles! Hopefully, somebody else on here will respond. She's giving me a fit bugging me to give it a try, but I'm chicken. -
I had someone describe to me a candle she saw on a website that she didn't bookmark. She described it as a dessert type candle but in a keepsake jar. Not the sundae glasses like what I thought she was talking about at first. She said she came across this while searching for a gift for a friend who is a chocolate freak but is on a diet. Now she wishes she had bought but can't find the website. Any suggestions? Surely some of you must know what I'm talking about. :wink2:

I buy from them and have been very happy. I really like their website because the fragrance oils are detailed as to gel, soy, body safe, etc. They also have a handy wick chart. Very helpful to a beginner like me.

No kidding about where to put it all. My sister says she can't stand it here and is coming Thurs. to help me clean and get organized. Stuff is everywhere, and it's impossible to cook food. IT'S EVERYWHERE! Floors, counters, furniture! I'm afraid of what she'll do!

Thanks guys. Now I have a headache from the beers. One word of advice--never try doing a gel with suspended embeds after even one beer! Amazing how it distorts your perception!

And I did do my research on bath salts. I originally got started on the personal care stuff because of my own problems. I have leaned a lot about "therapeutic value" and official testing. I was amused but dismayed that Michaels could sell thatcrap. The label said sodium chlorlide (table salt) mineral oil (regular baby oil), fragranve???, and food coloring. Hell, I could do that by going to Food Lion.

I have checked out the flea market and think that might be the place for me. No one does anything there except sell tshirts and sunglasses. There are 2 candle people, One says that soy candles cause cancer. I do soy and dessert candles. I've got pics on that forum. Gonna start doing quality bath products. Guess you know where Georgetown is. I taught school in Andrews (armpit of the world).

I live in a really hick town with not a lot of shopping. Most go to Charleston or Myrtle Beach to shop. I've just now gotten into making candles, soap, and body products. Today I was in Michaels. They had the cutest packages of "bath salts" for sale for $1. They were packaged so pretty that I picked one up and asked my sister how they could do that. Thanks to this forum I know why. The ingredients were sodium cholride, mineral oil, food colroing, fragrance.

I am a diehard Amazing Grace fan. For the last couple of years that I taught high school, my students always said something about how I smelled. (maybe stank) No, seriously, they always said I smelled clean. I liked this because I smoke. I go in the VFW after school and guys want to know why I smell so clean after working in a stank ass school all day! I spend a fortune on Philosophy stuff and would love to find the right dupe. Tell me!! I feel guilty pushing all my B&B stuff when I'm buying Philosophy!
