  1. I did notice no suppliers in Virginia! I can't find one near me here in SC either. Thought Aroma Haven/Rustic Essentials was gonna be good for me, but they seem to be discontinuing just about everything but fragrances. They ship fast and since I'm closer it helped to be able to order wax. Charleston Candle prices are too high and they don't answer emails!
  2. I think they're pretty. Why the ugh?
  3. Great color! I'm a Love Spell fan but somehow never connected it with lavender.
  4. I definitely like logo 5 best. Easier to read!
  5. Thanks so much. Will check it out. I need something for soaps, lotion bottles, and jar candles. I wasn't going to put a label on the jars. I package them in cello bags and was thinking about a label to put on the bag.
  6. I never thought about trying the farmer's market. I will check it out here. Thanks.
  7. I went there but am confused about what kind to order. Also, do most of you put labels on containers?
  8. I am new here and have looked and look for discussions about labels. A lot of you have replied that you make your own. I have been doing a few with Print Shop or Microsoft Word. What programs do you folks use? Also, I need advice on which are the best to buy. Been using some regular mailing labels, but they don't stick well on different things. Any help would be appreciated!
  9. I live in a tourist area, and the Christmas items are in shops year round.
  10. Donita, I went to your website and was awestruck by your beautiful candles. I especially love the ones with shells. I live right on the coast in SC and want anything with shells. If you do make a tutorial for doing those, I would love to purchase it.
  11. Wow. Those are so nice. Wish I could get the nerve to try making them.
  12. I can almost smell them. I have a lavender freak friend that would want these in the worst way!!
  13. I don't know if this is what you're talking about, but when I made a huge fruit salad candle, I put a votive cup in the center the same heigth as my compote dish and filled it with scented gel. It was for a donation to my ladies aux group, and I had over $20 of wax fruit embeds around it. I couldn't see burning all that up! Besides, it was pretty. So, I just covered the embeds with low density scented gel and filled the votive with high density scented gel. The embeds were scented, too. Boy, did it smell gooooood!!! I wish I had taken a pic. Everyone loved it!
  14. I went back 3x to make sure I didn't miss anything. So beautiful, but the pine cones are my favorite!
  15. Looks great, and you also solved a big problem I was having. Thanks so much for sending this pic!
  16. Looks so good, Natty! I love seeing the way everyone packages. But at the same time, I look at mine and feel like such a hick! Keep on sending in the pics. Maybe your good taste will rub off on me!
  17. I wouldn't mind paying for a tutorial, Donita. I agree about buying a candle book. At least this way I'll know what I'm getting. I need all the help I can get. Naturally free is great, but dependable paid for help is also valuable. If you had to answer that many requests, it's time to turn all that time into some kind of profit! You go, girl!
  18. These would sell soo good here on the coast. My vacation home is on a tiny island here and I can see these on the tables on the porch right now! They would even match the house colors!
  19. These look so good. I've seen so many pretty pillars on here that it really makes me want to give it a try!
  20. No ingredient list. Description just said genuine Dead Sea Salts with essential oils by L'Occitane. They offered them with no color or scent. I got the already scented and colored because I needed them right away for favors. I looked for quite a bit & felt like this looked like the best for the price. I would just like to get something for the remainder, even if it is to donate it to the ladies aux. for a fundraiser. I saw small jars with the wire bale clasp at $ general, but that puts pkging $$ too high. I think I'll go with cello with typed instructions on cardstock attached. Will post pic when I get done. Thanks!
  21. Thanks Ladysj! The packaging ?? is: What is an attractive way to pkg them? I am wondering how they would look in cello bags tied with a twist? I feel like plain little zip loc bags just wouldn't cut it. If they look nice, the ladies group may want to do them for a breast cancer fundraiser, etc. What would a reasonable price be for a pkg of either 1/2 cup or 1 cup be? Also, I hadn't thought about shelf life. Got any info on that?
  22. I purchased 20lbs. of prescented Dead Sea Salts to package as favors. They came with no instructions, and I haven't heard back from the seller. I need to do these quickly, so if anyone can help..... How much do you use for an avg bath? I was thinking of packaging for at least 2 baths. Also, I won't need this much, so I would like to package it all because lots of times people in my ladies group ask to purchase little goodies I have left over from projects. Any recommendations about doing this?? I really need help with this so please help if you can.
  23. Love this. Is this a tin basket with a handle? Not sure if I'm seeing correctly.
  24. I have that problem, too. Thanks for the suggestion.
