    I really need some bases for these pronto. I got a sample from Bayousome and really like it (after shave). However, it now only comes in 5 gallon quantity. I don't need that much. I have been looking and looking, and I would really like a supplier that has both these bases in not such a large quantity. Please help if you know of such a supplier with a good product!

    I've never heard of that company. Where did you find it? Ebay? Sounds like you got some really bad crap. I got lucky when I decided to try the pie thing. I ordered some things from Cricket at www.cricketscandlecompany.com and explained to her that I am a dumbass. She was so helpful! She will send you everything you need to learn how to make a pie. I have wanted to reorder from her but haven't been able to due to some health and other problems. If you email her and tell her what you want and your level of experience she will be very helpful.

    Definitely won't throw anything out! I remelted just over half of it today and put the 1 lb bar I had in with it. This time I poured it into individual molds instead of a loaf. I think it's still probably too strong. I've got the fo nose, so it's hard to tell. But it feels kinda greasy. I think I'll just wait until I get some more of the same and redo it all. I'm gonna take one of the small bars around to the VFW right now and see if I can get somebody to bathe with it! Ha ha

    *getdown* I agree with firegirl. I would like a steady supply. However, I've kicked my ass to the curb for dabbling in some strange, so ..... Thanks for asking that question, Candle Man. I didn't know, either, but somehow felt like I should know who the real ASS is.

    I just got it from Candle Science this past weekend. It is yummy. I used it in my goat milk M&P base, but I got distracted and put too much in. Trying to correct it now. I also mixed it with a goat milk body glaze from KY. It is wonderful! Haven't tried it in wax yet!

    I tried rebatching, but I really didn't like the results. I do the m&p either shea butter or goat milk base. I use both myself and love it. I mostly give away to benefits in baskets, but I have gotten a few paying customers that love it. They like being able to pick their fragrances, etc. Since looking at the gallery pics of cp soap, I now have the urge to do that. However, I'm so busy these days that I just don't have the time to learn all that there is to learn about it. I'm grateful for the m&p base sellers out there!

    I ordered some jars, samples of shampoo, conditioner, men's shaving lotion, and body cream from them on Sunday night. Order arrived this a.m. Have any of you used their products? I am really impressed with their fast service and friendly customer contact.

    I got several of the fo auctions on ebay over the weekend. I also ordered the dazzle dust (looks like sugar) and some glass embeds from the website. They combined the shipping for me. I paid on Sunday night and got my order today. I think everyone in business has an occasional screw up. I love their products. Just wish they still carried waxes!!

    I didn't know about the promo. My husband was on business in VA. It was about 45 mi. out of the way, but he went by there and picked up the order.

    I always feel a little weird when I place an order with a supplier because my last name is Chandler. It's my maiden name, and I still use it cause I never changed my banking, etc. when I got married.

    Well, double damn!! I just got an order in over the weekend of several scents, loads of jars, loads of waxes and wicks. NOT even one sample fo was included. I am hurt! :cry2:

    I poured most of it in a large mold that I had planned to cut. It all wouldn't quite fit so I poured 2 bars in individual molds. I just went in the kitchen to try to unmold the two small ones. They didn't want to pop out, so I decided to leave them alone. The large one is definitely not firm enough. I think I'm going to wait until morning and melt down part of it along with my one remaining block. I'll unmold the smaller one and try using it in the a.m. shower (if I can stand it). I really like this scent, but too much is ...... well, you know.

    I got really excited about the delicious creme brulee I got from CS and decided to do a M & P batch of goat milk. I don't know what I was thinking!! For some reason, I was thinking I put two 5-lb blocks in my melter. Got it all melted and ready for my fo. One TBS per lb, right? Well, I put 10 TBS in it. I poured it in my molds and didn't really notice anything except that I was sloppy. Then it hit me!! I had melted two 1-lb. blocks. Is there any way to save this??? I only have 1 more 1 lb. block on hand. Any advice would be appreciated!! :undecided

    I feel your pain, Fern. I just got cb135 about 2 weeks ago. I'm using fo's that are supposed to be soy tested as strong. I got my wax from CS and have been using their wick guides. I bought sample packs of ALL their wicks. I have been adding my fo at a lower temp and will try again tomorrow adding at a higher. However, the waiting for cure time is driving me nuts. BTW, I also bought J223 and IGI 6006. I'm tired of this crap and will find something that works!

    I'm still making lots of them. Actually, I have more requests for the jars of fruit preserves than anything else. Most of my soy container candles are being given away in gift baskets for door prizes at benefits! I sell the daylights out of the fruit preserves, though. Haven't had too many orders for the "scene" types lately. That will probably pick up closer to Christmas (I hope).

    Which supplier makes the best base for a shea butter cream or whipped butter? I just purchased the goat milk body glaze from KY. I love it. I would like something with shea butter and perhaps aloe in something of a souffle texture. I don't have time or feel like making my own. I need another product, though, that is for dry skin and very rich. Suggestions, please!
