  1. Oh dang, that's really pretty! I haven't made CP in a few years but have been studying all the new techniques and hope to decide on one to make before another few years pass by This one is now on my list!
  2. I had some leftover unscented green M&P from another project, so I shredded it to look like lime rind. I scented the rest with Coconut Lime Verbena (2004 called; they want their fragrance back! ). Pure white on top & bottom, then clear in the middle, with the green shreds. I'm bummed about the quality of this pic though. My camera is crap. This should be a nice bright white, with a deeper green in the middle. I don't know when I'll be ready to try to sell my wares again; I still need to work on getting flawless surfaces -- even with a nice clean mold, it's not great. And also a much better camera to showcase my work!
  3. Thanks! I have a bunch more tattoos to play with, including the really long skinny ones that go around your upper arms. I figured I'd have to throw those out but then I realized they could go around the side of the soap. It might be tricky to get them centered well, but I'm fearless!
  4. I did some simple M&P a few years ago and am getting back into it now, trying out more techniques. I think I used an Ocean FO for this. Clear M&P with colorant around the top, and white M&P on the rest. After I made the soap, I affixed a temporary tattoo and then poured in a layer of clear to seal it up. I like that this mold has the recessed area so you can do that. If you don't have the recessed area, you can use hairspray to help keep the tattoo on there nicely.
  5. Thank you all. I tried a syringe very similar to the injector, but it did not slide easily and I kept shooting the soap out all over the place. Maybe this one will work better!
  6. Hi there, I'm not entirely new to M&P but I'm starting up again after awhile. I always did embeds & simple things, and am now trying to use different colors to fill in different sections of cavity molds, such as leaves or cursive writing. I can't find any videos on how to pour such small amounts of soap into the really small indentations in cavity molds. For example, I have one that says "Handmade". I tried using an eye dropper but the amount of soap is so small, it hardens up a bit and doesn't pour nicely. So I tried something simpler and used the eyedropper to just fill in the raised ridge around another cavity, but even that didn't go too well. I had to wait for it to harden and then scrape off the stuff that went into the main section of the mold. I've been reading the soap & candle forums here and am excited to be a part of it! I sure would love it if someone has any tips for me! cheezfri
