  1. Green Leaf has them: http://www.greenleafcandlesupply.com/dyes.htm
  2. There is also a free form here: http://www.candlebusinesscorner.com/forms/testcard.htm
  3. Yes, I've tried them but they don't have some of the ones I wanted. I guess I should have been more specific. I'm looking for a Blackberry Sage and a Cyprus Rose.
  4. Specifically looking for fragrances that are known to throw well in soy. TIA!
  5. Those come from EL here: http://www.enchanted-lites.com/6a.htm They pastilize the beads using the same machines they pastilze their wax with. They also offer custom pastillation.
  6. Dang, I just added Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies to my line This is the only oil I get from them so perhaps I will be dropping it.
  7. I think it is a great idea depending on what type of wax you use. For instance if this is a fast cooling machine it would never work for soy votives.
  8. Maybe they are friends and just chose to pay via Paypal. Log into your Paypal account and make sure the money is really there and that you didn't just receive a spoof email. If they paid for it I would ship it if they added enough to cover the shipping charges.
  9. I had a booth in a fleamarket in 2001 and it was horrible. We sold a lot of candles, but had to constantly reduce our prices in order to move inventory. Everyone wants a deal and no one wants to pay what the items were worth. In the end it just wasn't worth it to us.
  10. They don't have a website where you can browse their products, however if you do a web search for "waxcessories" you will come up with a bunch of different sites that sell their products so you can see how they look.
  11. I do. Their initial order minimum is $200 and reorder minimum is $100.
  12. Resin is porous and shouldn't really be used for candles. It was a big no no when I used to make gel candles and from what I've learned it can soak up wax and become like a wick.
  13. From what I was told by the insurance company (and it makes sense) the liability is still with the manufacturer since they are the ones who made it.
  14. I agree totally and we do the same thing. I don't care if their name is on it or not. Look at huge stores like Publix and Winn Dixie that have their names on private labeled products, do you think the companies providing the services really care? A business is about providing a quality product and making a profit. IMO that is what seperates a true business from a hobby.
  15. Thank you all for sharing! Yes, I have done a search, however people do experiment and change waxes so I wanted to ask again.
  16. Here is a good sized one for under $80 http://www.skymall.com/shopping/search.htm
  17. And what do you like best/least about it? I use EL M blend for containers and their votive blend for votives and tarts. I like the M blend because it has a wonderful burn and scent throw with my fragrances and I love the finished appearance of the candle. I don't like all the wet spots, but hey I think that is an issue with most waxes if not all. I like the votive wax because of the scent throw, but I don't like the cracking for votives and the frosting issues it seems to have. Next!
  18. That link doesn't work for me. Could you verify?
  19. I have the 2 mil coverage through the Indie Beauty Network. I think what they are saying is that the policies for both are the same which means you are covered, however for membership in the Soap Guild 50% of your sales should be soap. For the IBN membership it doesn't matter.
  20. Has anyone tried ICS hot apple pie in soy? How did it throw? Did you try any awesome throwing apple scents from them? Thank you!
  21. I recommend the book "The Business Coap" by Brad Sugars. It is like having a one on one coach for the price of a book.
  22. Of course. Just like any other person who receives wholesale prices.
  23. I would add a cancellation fee to the policies page if I were you. That would deter people like her. Make it a good 20%.:highfive:
  24. Hi Brooke, I have QuickBooks Pro 2007 already as well as this software and I'll tell that for our needs the crafters software is much better. QuickBooks can't track what this software can and I'm just loving it!
