  1. I have not had "any" wet spots with this wax (knock on wood). I'm coming from the EL M wax that was full of wet spots so I'm in love. The only quirk I've found about this wax are the way the tops set up, but a heat gun solves that for me.
  2. Are you heat gunning the tops of the 444? They do set up kind of ugly, but the heat gun makes them as smooth as a baby's bottom.
  3. I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly but you definitely don't need beeswax with the wickless. The wax needs to be soft for the electric burners they are going to use the candles on. It does not need to be hard.
  4. I agree with this totally. This was the problem I had with this palm wax. It was beautiful though. I used the RRD series with it and it burned beautiful with no noticable soot. Of course that would depend on your wicking anyway.
  5. When I first started out with candles I made gel candles. That was over 8 years ago. I've dabbled with paraffin when combining them with gel to make bakery type candles. I then started making palm wax container candles and soy candles a couple of years after that. After a year of doing all four I decided to only do the soy. As for the soy, I started off with EL 100% pure soy then went to the Millennium when it came out. I've now just switched to the GB444 and to be honest with you I'm really loving it. In my opinion it really is a lot better than the EL brand which I have been using for the past 5 years (plus a lot cheaper, too).
  6. In case you didn't know your website is down for exceeding your bandwidth.
  7. I can see why it is a favorite. During the final test burn we've discovered that the throw is actually better on the 444. Now, if only the 474 worked as well as the EL Votive. Maybe I just need to keep experimenting with it.
  8. Good luck with that! I ordered over a month ago and still haven't heard anything back, nor was my card charged so I guess no loss. :undecided In the past ordering from this company has been hit or miss. Some times they send the stuff out quickly, some times they don't. I guess it depends on how they feel but it is not good when you need something.
  9. I've been testing out the 444 and I'm so loving this wax compared to the Millennium I've been using since it came on the market. The 444 has less wet spots, less frosting and comparable scent throw. I will do my final test burns tomorrow to make sure it is compatible with all my wick/jar combinations. I am so excited because not only is this wax cheaper, but it also looks a heck of a lot better.
  10. I recommend Rite Hete for your melters. I personally will not deal with Wenesco again. http://www.ritehete.com/
  11. Don't you just hate those type of replies? I hope someone comes along who actually can answer the questions for you. :tiptoe:
  12. Try Candle and Supplies for the wicks and the trimming tool or WSP for the wicks.
  13. Candle Cocoon Fragrance Oil Heaven ICS Peaks In that exact order. I used to use WYW and but I replaced them with stuff from the above three. I try to keep my suppliers to a minimum and really don't want more than four.
  14. I really like the one Sockmonkey did.
  15. I was really trying NOT to take on another supplier LOL. I don't currently use KS either. I'll wrestle with myself and see
  16. Does anyone know how the ICS version compares to the ASS version? I currently use the ASS version but it would be great if I could get the same thing from ICS. Thanks.
  17. disregard. I didn't see that huge post about this LOL
  18. Even with that low price once you add on the shipping it is still cheaper for me to order from CS. 300lbs from soycandle.com with shipping is $340.80 for me and the same amount from CS is only $328.79 at their regular price.
  19. Some people use them in place of tarts. Some people sprinkle them on a burning candle to enhance or change the scent.
  20. I have not found it to be true that you can't use a plastic tealight in a closed burner. We do it all the time as do our customers with no problems. For wicks I would suggest either a cd-2 or cd-3 depending on the fragrance. Most will burn great with a cd-2.
