  1. I've used Eco's in Ecosoya PB & CBA & Full Moons pillar & container blends, in a variety of pillar sizes & containers & not noticed any discolouring. However my Ecos come in hanks & I coat them myself before using them. Sally.
  2. Could provide another payment option but I really don't like all this credit card information etc being stored . So many people have their paypal accounts hacked it just goes to show how easy it can be for some smart A** computer geek to get in there. However when I get my website up & running I'll need to accept online payment so it seems to be a necessary "evil" these days. Sally.
  3. Hi Catseye, I'm in Scotland so this may not be any real help to you. 1:yes, you can buy glass paint to create a frosted effect on your glass but in my experience it usually looked streaky if you needed to cover a large area (where the brush strokes overlap it will look more dense). 2: you can buy etching fluid which is applied, left on for a certain amount of time then washed off. I believe this is a strong chemical which eats into the outside of the glass to create the frosting, but in all my years of glass painting I never used it so I can't comment on it's effectiveness. This would probably be the best thing to use to frost a whole glass, & if you apply a cut out shape first that area would be left clear so you could create your own unique design on the glass. 3: if you have a friendly local sand blaster nearby perhaps they'd frost your glasses that way. I'd google a search for etching fluid & see what turns up. HTH good luck in your search. Sally.
  4. They all look lovely, I like the cigar band style labels too. Hope they sell for you. Sally.
  5. Snap...I can't remember the last time we ate a meal at the table together. Another must have is a thermometer, a candy one is fine. Sally.
  6. That's really interesting. Here in the Uk almost everyone would know what "satsuma " represented. During the winter months it's one of the most popular citrus fruits & is often included in the goodies of a child's christmas stocking. Renaming it would confuse people over here. Sally.
  7. Me too. I think it makes the candles look a bit more classy although I love shiny PW candles. Sally.
  8. OOO thats so pretty, love the colour & the scent names great too . Think I'll have a go with palm once I get the hang of the soy......so that's probably 10 years time. Sally.
  9. They're really pretty....what wax are you using, I was wondering if they'd work with a soy pillar blend? Sally
  10. Thats some set up, what a busy lady you are. I paint glass too & have frequently been asked the same thing at craft fairs....while I was sitting painting a glass at the time! Sally.
  11. They look lovely, great work. Sally.
  12. Looks good Eugenia, how does it burn? If it burns & throws well it'll be great for using up that anonymous wax.....I hate wasting anything! Sally.
  13. It will be, hopefully after the kids summer holidays. And when I've got more than a couple of things perfected. Sally
  14. Like #5 best, keep em coming it's inspiration for me. My neice is designing my logo just now, in the very early stages but we'll get there. Sally.
  15. How was the show? I bet you didn't need to put them "on sale". Sally.
  16. MMM they look like a summer holiday at the beach to me. Sally.
  17. They are beautiful but please can we our have summer first, Scotland doesn't get much summer Sally.

  21. LOL I am so sorry, it was the $1.00 sale somewhere else & now I can't remember where! Major brain fart :rolleyes2 . I even woke up this a.m thinking ....that wasn't SOS but where the heck was it! I think I need to stop looking at this board my poor brain can't cope with all the great info! Wherever that sale was I remember it ended today so I can't order from it anyway shame cos it was a great place to get quality samples cheap. Sally.
  22. Going to make some pillars so's I can try out the bottom levelling idea posted in the smooth bottom pillars thread. Cleaning out some jars I'm testing & refilling em & hopefully listing some glass pieces for painters on Ebay. Have a lovely w.e. Sally.
  23. That makes perfect sense to me. My kitchen is so crooked it's a wonder I ever get level bottoms on my pillars. I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow. Thank you. Sally.
