  1. Go to Adobe's website and download a trial version of pagemaker it is good for 30 days that should get you through this swap. http://www.adobe.com/downloads/alphabetical.html
  2. I have boxes that I put my candles in...they are plain and I print a label that states hand poured for you by....and then the company name and info. I also have some celophane wrap that I use for my heart bowls and tie it up with ribbon. I was looking for something to put sets in....the crate idea sounds great.
  3. It is possible that your labels are not feeding evenly all the way through. You should have an adjuster on your printer so that the sides are snug and feed through the printer evenly. I found that when I used my Lexmark that is what I had to do to keep them straight all the way through...otherwise they would creep up as the labels went through.
  4. Oh thanks for the info....I too am struggling with this jar...using 415 until it is gone and then on to 464. Thank you thank you thank you again.
  5. Well I haven't made it yet, but I was just going to get the one from the store, and that is an awesome question....I guess we will see....the whole trial and error thing. I did read that the wh/water mix will turn yellow when the lye is added. I am just trying to find something that will help calm down hidradenitis suppurativa, which is a non-contagious, recurrent disease affecting areas of the body where there is skin to skin contact such as the armpits, groin and where apocrine glands and hair follicles are found. There is no known cure for this. Recommendation is antibacterial soap, antibiotics, surgery. But if you can get control of them they rarely grow into debilitating lesions. Some people can get them as large as baseballs.
  6. Thanks so much, I knew it was probably something simple but just couldn't get with it this morning...maybe I need more coffee:laugh2:
  7. I am trying to make a recipe similar to a castille bar, but adding witch hazel and tea tree oil to it. My question is how do I substitute some of the water for the witch hazel? Here is the recipe that I have. TIA to anyone who may know the answer. 6.08 water 2.05 lye 13.6 Olive oil 1.6 castor oil .8 Tea tree oil
  8. Scented, Relax...take a deep breath and have a cold beverage. I loved the soaps that you sent me. I got a creamy lather, but there were also lots of nice bubbles. We have hard water with the softner and all the soaps that I have tried have acted differently when it came to bubbles. I noticed if I used them on the day the softner had just run I got a ton of bubbles and then on the day in between I would just get some awesome creamy lather. Sometimes I think you can tweak to much trying to perfect everything....lol We are our worst critics.
  9. I agree on the melon advice...cucumber melon is made with honeydew melon. you could do lemon, mandarin orange, lime jasmine, honeysuckle, lilac lavender, hydrangea, white lilac or like a watermelon boat (here are alot of options depending on how you want it to look) lemon sugar whipped cream watermelon cantaloupe honeydew strawberry grape blueberry mandarin orange
  10. You could discount them slightly if you want to, though I don't really see a reason and add a sign that states that there is frosting which in no way affects the burn or scent quality of the candle frosting to an extent is just another one of those soy qwerks that we all deal with. Though in the long run I think if you explain that it won't affect the candle you won't have any problem selling them.
  11. This is the recipe that you posted before isn't it?? If it is this is an awesome recipe. I have made it and it is easy and gives you a nice bar. I have made some with all veggie, but I have to admit this is an awesome recipe using lard.
  12. I am not familiar with godaddy either, but I use WAHMShoppes and use the Mal's shopping cart.
  13. Well I do this full time to keep me in the house with the kids. So I guess truly I am a mom full time and do this full time also.
  14. Yes it should I noticed that late last night while I was playing . This was done using a free trial of logocre8tor so I can tweak it a little and am learning how to do more with it as I play with it more. I have a ton of fonts so maybe if there were some suggestions as to which to use. Though I am trying to be slightly different since I look at a lot of these logos and they use the same kind of font, to me a lot of them look the same with just different company names attached to them. We all make candles, but our product marketing should seperate us and that is what I am trying to do. I love all your suggestions and will keep tweaking this, and I am not going to get upset because someone doesn't like my idea . That is why I posted it to get honest feedback and help me make changes.
  15. Okay I implemented some of the changes....lets see how this goes...lol Don't worry I am not going to attack anyone for what they have to say...LOL. Nothing is etched in stone and I wear big girl panties...I can take it
