  1. Bramble Berry's Coconut is very true. I have gotten nothing but compliments on how true the scent is.
  2. I get mine from Online Labels. They have almost every size that is available on the market in inkjet or laser, clear, colored or white - weatherproof, waterproof, you name it. I have always been very pleased with their service and prompt shipping. You can purchase the labels by the sheet or case. They have a great return policy too. www.onlinelabels.com
  3. I don't but I have a customer who religiously requests that I make her a custom gray candle scented in banana she buys them for herself and her sister. Supposedly she has lost over 60 lbs. She said she read about it in Prevention magazine.
  4. GL has an awesome honey! It's great in B&B and soy blend. I have searched and searched for a great honey with no green notes, etc. I have tried most if not all of them and GL's Honey is it!
  5. No but Sweet Cakes has a great dupe.
  6. Ok I normally don't rave or rant about much, but Green Leaf's Honey really rocks! I have spent months trying to find a pure honey with no green notes. THIS IS IT! It works well in my soy/paraffin blend! I let it cure for a week and test burned three containers and boy was the throw out of this world! YIPPY!
  7. 1) Clothes Pins - to help secure my wicks 2) Popsicle stick (large size) to easily scrape the wax off my table right intot trash can. 3)Free extra large steel door from my husband's work as the top of one of my pouring tables in my workshop. We placed it on some storage cabinets so I have storage under it and space in between to slide my stools in. It's level, and steel so it's easy for cleanup no staining with dyes, etc.
  8. If I'm doing a small batch I use a heavy duty wooden mixing spoon and just scoop away. I've found all the ice cream scoops I've ever used seemed to break, come apart etc.... When I do larger batches I place the 25 lb block on my worktable. Take a large knife and slice through the plastic - side in and push through the center, doing this all the way around. With the plastic still on I weight it and add or take away what I need. Keep in mind you should wear gloves, so so so much easier to clean up than scooping and wiping the gunk off your hands! To clean my tools I just hit it with a heat gun over some old newspaper and toss the paper when I'm done and wipe off the tools with paper towels.
  9. Wow, thanks so much! I think it was $14.99 (supposedly $18.99 retail). I think I'll use that money instead to try out your recipe! Thanks so much for sharing, I appreciate it!
  10. So I was at TJMaxx today and saw some foaming bath milk from Fresh Body Market. It was a neat little container (think small gallon style milk container). Has anyone heard of them or used their products? I am very tempted to go back and get it just to try it - or should I not waste my money?
  11. No in scrubs it should be fine. In the suspension soap it will suspend, but I'm not sure you'll get enough bubbles for a "bubble bath" you may have to add something to it for it to bubble enough. I was thinking you were using the liquid concentrate or another base.
  12. You'll probably find that the jojoba beads won't suspend, it will probably sink- I guess that depends on your formula. They do go a long way (IMO).
  13. Try Kangaroo Blue they usually have them in stock.
  14. I think there is no reason for you not to do something like that. My friend did a "Holiday Open House" this past Christmas featuring my candles/B&B, Southern Living and BeautiControl. It was nice and most ppl got their Christmas shopping done at the one stop shop and many ppl requested we do it this coming holiday.
  15. Ditto, they look great in scrubs, soaps, liquid suspending gels, etc.
  16. I agree, a regular sized melt is approximately 0.8 - 1.2 oz. My jumbo melts are approximately 2 oz. You are leaving money on the table with your $0.40 melts! I charge $0.90 for my regular melts. I have jumbo melts that are $1.50 each. My melts sell quite well at that price!
  17. I used to make my tarts in foil liners and then used shrink wrap tubing, a heat sealer and heat gun....WAY too much work. I now just portion cups and they work wonderfuly! I love them and it has cut down my production time by over 1/2.
  18. Here's a really cool site. Basically you bid out your work and different designers respond to you and say "I can do this for this much". My friend used this site and her logo and branding package was great. www.designoutpost.com
  19. I'm in TX and they usually take about two (2) weeks from the time I place an order till the time I receive it. Never tried the Illuminating warmer, only the plug-ins and the combos. Love them both.
  20. I have the 2600 and had the same problem. I tried everything, to no avail. I called customer support and (1.5 hrs later) they sent me a new toner cartridge (black). It did the trick! Sometimes they said the toner cartridges are bad and shake the black stuff over the paper....you might want to call tech support and see. I got mine free.
  21. Well I tried your suggestion with the modifier and it worked! Thanks so much I appreciate it!
  22. Thanks so much for all your suggestions! Yes it is Bitter Creek South. I chatted with their Tech Rep and they weren't much help. I'll look into that, I didn't think about the modifier.
  23. The colors are all colors from Brambleberry - all low PH. The scents I've tested are: Blue Sugar - DS Buttercream - NG Plumeria - TC Strawberry Passion - NG Cherry Blossom - Tony's Nothing is sticking, I love the base but am frustrated the colors won't stick.
  24. Hi, I'm at my wits end with this base I've been testing. I've tried several scents and colors mixed with the BCS Hair & Protein Mist and I cannot get the color to stay mixed after a day. It separates with about 1/3 of the top of the bottle colored and the bottom 2/3's clear. Has anyone had this problem? If so any solutions to this?????? ANY suggestions would greatly be appreciated. THANKS!
