  1. I've used NG's for years and my customers love it.
  2. My slowest mover is shower gels. Another thing that is slow, but seasonal, is body sprays. For some reason during the colder months they don't sell well. As soon as the warm weather hits they sell like hotcakes.
  3. That's a good point. I read that article too, it's scary what means people come up with to sell forms of drugs.
  4. She used to have a guy make them for her. Maybe if you call her and ask she might pass on his number to you.
  5. Has anyone tried this? Is it heavy on the Cardamon? Any input would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!
  6. As far as NG's scents.... Bamboo & White Grapefruit Chipolte Salsa Sweet Orange Chili Pineapple Orchid Hawaiian Ginger (best seller for me in B&B at shows) The Clementine is nice but I don't particularly think it is good enough as a stand alone oil. It blends nicely though. Good luck!
  7. I have the Daystar CDV and it is light out of the bottle. I agree though, once you put it in product and it really does blossom, esp lotions.
  8. So did they close down www.justbynature.com, then setup www.justbynatuersupply.com and immediately shut it down? That's absurd! I wonder if something happened that caused it to shut down suddenly; perhaps a family tragedy or something?
  9. I agree. Their molds are sturdy and so easy to unmold! Once you use the silcone molds it's so hard to go back to the plastic. Looks like all their old silicone bar and loaf molds are clearancing out. It will be interesting to see just how clear their clear silicone molds are.
  10. My thrifty husband put shelving brackets up along a whole wall and tiered them with various heights. He then used some wood boards (I believe they are pressed wood) as "shelves." I like it b/c I can store most of my B&B supplies on those shelves. I store my boxes under my work table (used an industrial coated steel door and placed them on two (2) rubbermaid cabinets - one cabinet on each end. I use the space in between the two cabinets to store my various boxes and shipping supplies. The space underneath also is spacious enough that I can pull my stools underneath them while sitting. The cabinets serve as additional storage. I have my printer on shelf on the wall while my laptop and backup hard drives, phone, etc are on the work table on one side.
  11. I give my customers a $1 credit if they return their candle jars (locals only.) Then I use those jars to test my candles. I never reuse bath/body containers for sale. It's just not worth the trouble and liability. I do refill my personal jars with lotions/scrubs.
  12. I agree. I feel "swamped" ....did less shows but definitely more orders coming in- especially last minute basket orders! I usually spend this week wrapping gifts for family/friends, but now I'm (other than me posting on CT!) spending most of this week with last minute orders! It's great business but also takes away time from family.
  13. I unmolded my test batch of snowflake soap. The bar appears to be very flexible, almost like I poured a bunch of glycerin in it. Anyone?
  14. To save on cost, I usually package in a decorative cello bag during craft fairs. When I ship or store them, I shrink wrap them. Since you don't do shrink wrap you can use saran wrap and a sticker/label to secure at the bottom; this will keep the bloom/moisture from occurring on the soap.
  15. The snowflakes are not only on the surface of the block, but embedded throughout the entire block. I always scrape off the foam but I have never seen these "snowflakes" (literally look like beautiful snowflakes) embedded in the block. I melted the first small portion and went from a clear shaving soap to an opaque soap. I just melted a larger portion (1 lb) to see when it solidifies if it will turn white/opaque and not stay clear. I'm wondering what causes this? Is it safe to use?
  16. I just opened a 2 lb block of SFIC Shaving Soap an noticed what appears to be hundreds what can only be described as tiny snowflakes in the block. I melted a small slice down and now it that portion seems to be opaque and no longer clear. I went to check on the remaining blocks I have and sure enough they are all this way! Does anyone know what causes this?
  17. Has anyone used this soap before? Did you like it? Is the color more yellowish or is it pretty white? I'm interested in using this but want to make sure I'm not purchasing a yellow colored soap base. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thank you!
  18. Yes just got it. I don't understand why they would notify you much earlier than some other customers! Ugh very frustrating, esp this time of year when I use the credit card to purchase online. I don't have time to waste canceling/ordering a new card but I don't have much of a choice now do I? Hope everyone's cc are alright.
  19. Did anyone receive and email from TKB re a credit card breach? I got one today. Checked the credit card nothing yet.
  20. I've tried pretty much ever ultra/extra clear on the market. I agree and think the best is also WSP's. Unfortunately it's not the most natural as far as ingredients but if you are going for clear this is it.
  21. I've used Brambleberry's Pineapple Cilantro for years. Customers go nuts over it.
  22. Just wanted to post a rave for Just By Nature! I called yesterday aournd 4:15 PM needing some FO ASAP. I asked about overnight shipping and was told my options (they could get me the FO by the next day via regular FEDEX shipping!) I appreciate they saved me the money for overnight shipping! They had it out the door and picked up by the carrier by 5:15 PM the same day! Got it today around noon! Kudos to JBN!
  23. If that problem isn't corrected, I would stop doing business with them. Thanks for the heads up on them.
