  1. Well I just ordered some yesterday. I have tried it from about 4 other suppliers and haven't been that happy with any. The closest so far to what I am looking for is from JustScents, but I had to revamp it a bit. When I get my order in from CS I will put my two scents in about. I ordered quite a few samples, but the prices are nice.
  2. That is so great! Your pillars are really very wonderful and it is nice to get recognition for them. Keep up the good work. You rock sister
  3. Wow those are really great! Very cool idea
  4. I am being converted over to her fo's too. Great customer service. I have been testing the ones I poured over the weekend and was impressed with the cold and hot throw of them w/o much time to cure. The cranberry sauce was burned within 24 hours after pour. The hot throw kicked. Just so happened on of my testers come over and she immediately said, what scent is that! She said is was really nice. It had been lit for about 15 min. (please note that these are tested in 4794 tart form - if they pass this test, then they go to 1945 container form). Country Kitchen is very nice. I poured that one and I could still smell it literally for hours all over the house. I was surprised. Havent burned it yet, but it is next on the list. Hearth & Home was my unexpected surprise, I like it in the wax much better than in oob. I also have tested woodberry, really nice throw, the scent is pretty nice, Berrie Breeze, really strong, but I didn't dig the smell, Gingerberrie Wreath smells like a nice berry citrus blend and I think it smells so nice, this seems to have a medium throw, but am going to test again, Citrus Linen H20 - extremely strong throw, blows the doors down, would make a great mixer in my opinion, Chestnuts & Brown Sugar - haven't burned big, big hot throw, smells very buttery, good enough to eat. I am impressed with the throw of her scents and will be ordering more. You guys have given me more to add to my list.
  5. Sounds like you did really good. Yep, your nemesis is hopefully going to learn her lesson. Too bad the soap didn't sell, but the holidays are coming up on us and I bet you can sell them then. Very cool about the lady with the shop coming and talking to you. WTG:yay:
  6. Sure is a nice creamy looking pillar. I am wondering about playing with additives and such to get mottles and rustics too. DK are you going to mess around with that? We are all living vicariously through you....LOL!
  7. Very nice. See sometimes "mistakes" look great. I wouldn't have known that you didn't do it on purpose. I am going to venture into the pillar world here soon too. You all look like you are having way too much fun!
  8. Those are so nice Breanna. It seems to me that you got just the right look for what you wanted. Very good work PA :highfive:
  9. Twisting the wicks! I would have never thought of that. Cool idea.
  10. Wow, thanks you guys for jumping in on this one. Well I didn't realize that it has a been a challenge (big duh on my part after all we are talking about wicking candles...LOL). Good information everyone. Top let us know how the testing goes.
  11. I would be curious to know the answer to that to. I have used the pick a wick database before, but if you look at it you get about every answer there can be under the planet...LOL. I would think that a 24 ply would be to big. Anybody willing to share what they use? There isn't a lot of information in the search of this small of pillar. There is lot's of informatin for the the 3" and bigger in diameter.
  12. Wow that is so cool. I am going to put an order in for the pillar wax next week...one of them...not sure yet.
  13. Well I haven't got to do much pouring lately, but today I did do a custom container for my mom w/Amber Romance. I am trying to test some of my JS scents. I am definately pouring citurs Linen H20, woodberry, gingerberrie wreath and hopefully others this weekend sometime.
  14. I must admit I am tempted to try some of the new Peak waxes, but I think I might start with one of the pillar waxes.
  15. I think it looks great. Congratulations on your success :highfive:
  16. Ya know, I just can't figure out if that pig makes me laugh or makes me scared...LOL. I can't help but laugh and then its like yikkkess...with a shudder:D
  17. Jennifer those are beautiful. Can't wait for you to get your store, then I can come in and see all your stuff in person. Well that is when I get to Fairbanks : )
  18. Well I do think they are a pain in the arse to make, I do make them as a courtesy to customers. Plus, now that I am selling, I am getting requests for baskets and those are very nice for baskets. Especially, since I am not doing any B & B which really make nice basket additions. I dont' consider them to be money makers. But some people just want to buy something inexpensive such as a votive.
  19. Yep the texture of 1945/4630 is very close to the J223. You know I don't have the smoking problems with this as long as I don't wick too big. I use the zincs wicks and find that any smoking I have had is the same with the J223. The comfort blend was very difficult for me me to work with because it was so soft and the I think I needed to wick up. I had sink holes and not good hot throw (my mistakes most likely, not the wax). I do think it can be picky with some FO's, but not very many in my opinion.
  20. I always heat my molds with my heat gun just before I pour. I do about the same as everyone else as far a temperature (heat wax to 180-185, add FO/Color @ 170-175, pour 165-170).
  21. Those were very funny indescent. I loved the one about taking your car for an oil change and seeing it drive by to the McDonalds....LOL.
  22. I make mine with a mixture of red and black also.
  23. Well I have never even heard of them, but then again I don't live in style/trendy alley either..LOL.
  24. Okay, who else besides me needs Indescent to move in with them?.....LOL. That was the best letter. If I had you with me at all times I could tell people off and they wouldn't even know it before we walked away. I love the part to "kiss me where the good lord split me". It really cracked me up...really no pun intended!
