  1. This is a three layer that I did, just playing around. My dh made me a label for it and took the pic. It is layered top-butt naked, middle-vanilla velvet, bottom-georgia peach. This is a 25 oz apothecary type jar that we got a walmart on clearance.
  2. Well let me know when you get this figured out so you can talk me through a maize and blue one...Michigan Football isn't to far around the corner. LOL!!
  3. I would look at the scents that were ordered and make a list for those to be your next testers and then let the people know that currently those have not been tested or gone through quality control, but as soon as they are available you will contact them, but that currently what is available in the brochure has gone through rigorous testing and met your quality control standards.
  4. Hey it may not be exactly like theirs but it sure is neat. I think it looks good and would certainly buy that. Great Job!!!! Keep up the good work!
  5. I really like the 464. It gives smoother tops, can be poured at a higher temp and I have had less frosting issues.
  6. I vote for Scentifique it conveys what you want and sounds sophisticated(sp)
  7. Wow that is neat....that sure is some exposure for her site.
  8. I don't know if Gateway has a site or not, but I use GB wax currently I am using the 415 and I like it, you get a few wet spots and if you are not careful you can get frosting, I know some add beeswax to this. I have tested their 464 and love it, there is a thread regarding the testing. The scent throw in both are good hot or cold, though everyone is going to have different opinions as to where they are located in the country. What works for me in MI might now work for someone in AZ. Due to the differences in climate.
  9. Those are awesome looking....great way to spend your time.
  10. Southern Scentsations has some awesome banana nut bread, buttery pumpkin pie, country vanilla, creamy caramel apple, gingerbread, grandma's pumpkin log, snickerdoodle, southern apple pie, and old time christmas. These scents totally remind me of country.
  11. They were pretty popular at our bake sales in school too.
  12. I have had this happen a few times too, couldn't figure out why it happened. I was using a 50/50 mix of soy and paraffin and no throw. The FO would throw great in paraffin and soy but not mixed, I upped the FO% and it seemed to help, but since then I have given up on paraffin and went all soy.
  13. Southern Scentsations also carries Golden Brands wax www.greatcandle.com
  14. Awesome color choices...great job...now how do the scents go together burning....I'm curious.
  15. :yay: Yeah someone knows what I am talking about!!!
  16. I am also weary about ordering from them. I have seen discussions regarding their dupes and that they are real close. I have also heard that you need to purchase the higher quality oils from them, but not sure. I just gotta get up the nerve to order samples from them.
  17. Why not use Arcadia Scents...it says that is available in .com, .net, .biz,.org,.us. not sure if it is available in the other format though.
  18. Well on the university of Michigan campus they have a rally every year for not only the legalization and decriminalization of marijuana, they have alot of speakers. People sell alot of merchandise, some people smoke(in Ann Arbor it is only a $25.00 fine).
  19. Southern Scentsations has some nice Desert Honey.
  20. We are testing Candle Chem's marijuana FO...and my gosh that is some yucky stuff...who ever said it smelled like that was way off. I never remember it ever smelling like that when I was younger. So I guess it is off to test some other companies. This isn't a scent that I plan to carry more then April of every year when U of M has their annual hash bash, but I sure would like to find one that smells right. Maybe if I mix a few of them and add fresh dirt to it....what do you think, would it work???
  21. That is very cute, would pull me in to check out the goodies. What a great find for 11 dollars.
  22. Hope it turns out great for ya...can't wait to see the pic.
  23. We got sample jars, poured some candles and found the easiet ones to use and went with that line. I found that ones that have curves were hard to guage wicking right since they are wider in the middle and smaller on the top and bottom.
  24. Paraffin prices are rising just as the oil prices are rising. Paraffin is a by product of petroleum so when the price of oil per barrel goes up anything made with that barrel also goes up.
