  1. We are thinking about adding the seamless tins to our product line any suggestions about the best place to get these would be??? I know I have alot of research to do with this, but some direction would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Okay my mall does not let you rent by the weekend, but they want $2000.00 a month with a $2000.00 security deposit. So that is about 500.00 a week with a month to month lease.
  3. I'm not sure about here in MI, I will call the mall and check their pricing....I never thought of it, but if the price is right that might be an option. I will let you know what I find out.
  4. I know some of the waxes are Golden Brands 415 and in a seminar it was stated that you could add 1 TBSP pp of Crisco to help even out the roughness. I don't know if that will help, but it might be something to try with all that wax you have and will have.
  5. Sending good soap vibes your way LL
  6. Try drilling a small hole in the middle of popsicle sticks..I have had much better luck using them.
  7. I also am carrying the 8 and 12 oz metros and did some internet research and it appears that the 8 oz are selling between $7.00 and $11.00 and the 12 oz are selling between $12.00 and $17.00. So I think your pricing is in the ball park. It depends on the area that you are in and what type of buyers you have. I usually go about a dollar an ounce on my regular candle line. It may be a bit more with some specialty items.
  8. according to their explanation it appears that 36 to 47 is the idea, but from what I am reading the higher number means a harder bar, but depending on the fats that you use your bar could come out harder then the calc states.
  9. Okay scntdwik.... I don't know about the apricot seed but I went to soapcalc and came up with this for a 2lb recipe. Olive oil (50%) 16oz Coconut (25%) 8oz Cocoa Butter (10%) 3.2oz Hemp(15%) 4.8 oz Water 12.16oz Lye 4.5oz That will give you soap qualities of: Hardness 35 Cleansing 17 Condition 61 Bubbly Lather 17 Creamy Lather 18 Iodine 72 INS 141
  10. okay tell me what size batch you are looking to make....2lb, 4lb?? What oils are you wanting to use??? How much of each one are you wanting to use? I will try to help you through this
  11. choose the oil that you want then go to the right and click the plus sign, then choose the next oil from the list and then go to the right again and hit the plus sign and so on and so on til you have all your oils listed. HTH
  12. Okay I am going to try my best to explain...this is still new to me also. 1. You need to enter how many pounds of oils total you are using...if your mold holds 4lbs, 2lbs 2. Then pick your types of oils that you are going to use...olive, coconut, hemp, cocoa butter.... 3. Then choose the % of each oil you are going to use in the recipe, as an example 50% olive oil, 25% coconut oil, 10% cocoa butter, 15% Hemp (I am not saying use this amount it was just an example of percentages) 4. Click on compute recipe and then scroll down it will show you how much liquid, lye, and oils to use. ** Do this between step 3 and 4 if you are adding FO If you are adding Fo there is also a spot on the left side to add the amount per pound and then if you hit compute recipe it will show you how much FO to use HTH Edited: Due to my inability to add up percentages....lol
  13. Beth's customer service is awesome and I have used several of her FO's they are awesome.
  14. Just received an order of jars yesterday and my new FO is on the truck to be delivered today. So tonight and tomorrow will be spent making candles and testers. Sunday is going to be a do nothing day since not only is it mother's day it is my 32 birthday....I plan to be pampered as much as I can...lol

  16. I think that you can... I won't swear to it, I have only done CP, but from what I understood in reading is that the heat from HP just speeds up the process.

  21. I use soapcalc 9 too. I like it, so far it hasn't steered me wrong.
  22. Try using this calc it actually has Crisco as an option http://www.soapcalc.com/calc/soapcalc.asp for a 1# recipe it shows the following: 6.08 oz water 2.06 oz lye 1.6 oz cocoa butter 8 oz Crisco 3.2oz Canola 3.2 oz Safflower Though it also shows that this recipe has no bubbly lather qualities or cleansing qualities. HTH
