  1. Wouldn't they be a hit at a kids party! Especially for a pirate, spiderman (green kryptonite), or pink one for a princess party!!!!!!! These are sooo cool!
  2. I love how they all have different textures to them!!!!!!!!!! They are gorgeous!
  3. I promise I won't hog up any more gallery space for a while, there were just a few fall soaps I wanted to make until my next FO shipment arrives! This soap is my first made with Goats Milk. I loved every minute of it. You wouldn't beleive how neon yellow the milk went once I added the lye! I added a yellow colorant and carob powder instead of my usual cocoa powder, because carob powder is naturally sweetened and smells sooo good. I also added Vanilla Pod specks for that more natural banana bread look, and sprinkled cinnamon and nutmeg to the top! Anyone notice I didn't use the wavy cutter this time! LOL. CAN ANYBODY PLEEASSSSE HELP ME WITH A NAME FOR THIS SOAP? I was hoping to stray from 'Banana Bread'. Just too boring!
  4. This is the great purpose of the gallery and this website. You can take one FO and see how different people make their idea of soap. I was thinking red apple with caramel, and you were thinking green apple! I sooooooooo love your soap!!!!!!!!!! You will sell these in a heartbeat!
  5. I sure wish I had one, Something to look into!
  6. Here is my newest version of my Vanilla Hazelnut Soap (Peaks FO). This is one of my best selling FO's!!!!! It totally didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but I'm still happy with it. I had only a smidgen of cocoa powder left, so it's not dark like I wanted. I also added beige mica, and Vanilla Pod specks.
  7. The first of my Fall Soaps! The first is Nutty Tasha Apple. (Nutty Taffy Apple), which smells divine! It is colored with cocoa powder and brick red oxide.
  8. Maybe check for something more like Amaretto? That's just cream and almonds isn't it?
  9. Great swirls! Nice blue color too! Keep up the good job!
  10. It's a very good idea, but I think the ribbon is kind of hiding the picture. Why not try to use see-through ribbon, in that same color!
  11. What a great looking soap! Great job on the layers! I haven't used Goats Milk in soap yet, I had it in my hand today at the grocery store, but thought about what exact soap I wanted to make with it and couldn't come up with anything! Did it go yellow?
  12. Thanks TexasBrat, the dictionary even had a meaning for that word, I thought it must have been a candle or soap slang I hadn't heard of!
  13. Wow, I have to be honest, I don't have a clue what shabby chic means but they really are pretty! Victorian looking.........
  14. I use a glass etcher cream that you can buy at Michael's. It never will come off! You just put it on, wait 5 minutes, then wash it off, and the cream actually etches where you put the cream! But yours still looks nice the way it is!
  15. It's a beautiful soap. What kinds of oils did you use to get such a lightly colored soap? Great job!
  16. I soooo don't want to venture into making candles, I've even offered some exchanges on here for candles for some of my soap, but have had nobody accept that offer! LOL. I want to give more than just soap out at Christmas and I figured making candle tarts would be wayyyy easier than actually making candles. What are the things I need to know? I can get wax, and have a zillion FO's. So here's what I would think........you get your wax up to a certain temp, add your FO at a particular temp, and let it cool to a certain temp before putting them in their little pots or containers so the plastic doesn't melt. *I'm using little plastic 1 or 2 oz cups*......... Well how'd I do?
  17. The ones with the picture of the people on it would be great for grandparents for Christmas with the grandkids on it!!!!!!!!!!1
  18. What kind of look are you going for this fall or Christmas? Besides the typical green, red and white soaps? santa cool I really like the look of Brenda's Neopolitan soap with a pink, white and brown layer, actually representing 'neopolitan ice-cream'. What kind of Fall, Christmas candy or food, could you make into a soap whether it's layered or swirled. I have a few Christmas FO's to make into soap. Hot Apple Pie -layered - small layer -light brown for the 'crust', yellowy orangy thick layer for pie, whipped soap layer for whip Cream. Peppermint EO - definately will make it a red/white swirl like a candy cane Wintergreen FO, Egg Nog, Gingerbread, Kahlua, Irish Cream Any other ideas for Christmas soaps?
  19. I loooooove the Cucumber-Melon from Canwax, so does everyone who smells it!!
  20. The liquid definately turned a yellowish brownish color when I added the lye to it, but when I added the liquid to the oils to make the soap, it luckily didn't stay brown. I added approximately 70 g of pureed cucumber at trace. I don't know if you can tell, but there are slight clear/whitish spots which I think is excess water from the cucumber puree. I'm hoping this will fade or evaporate.
  21. Here is the cucumber soap I have wanted to make for a long while now, after many questions and figuring out how to do it.......here it is. I used Aloe Vera Juice, cucumber water and distilled water for the liquid part of the recipe, and added at trace, some pureed cucumber with as much water I could get out of it. It is scented with Lemongrass EO. No color added. Pureed Cucumber that was added at trace Cut Cucumber & Aloe Soap
  22. I love lavender, but I'm sure a whole wack of it in a small container of shea butter would be a little overwhelming. I feel better when I scream how I am such a TWIT when I make soaping mistakes! Then I just have a nice laugh about how I just yelled outloud and talked to myself! LOL:p
