  1. Allergies, high-fat, high-calorie sweets, diabetics........ Easter isn't fair! What ideas do you have for cute soap ideas for CP soap? How is it possible to make and market cute ideas for Easter? Instead of hiding treats, what about cute little soaps?
  2. Thanks for the idea! I actually used a shot glass and made circles on the top, overlapping. I always try and come up with different ideas for the top of the soap, when I'm not swirling.
  3. Thanks!! Not sure how to package these up yet! They are just cut with a cookie cutter! They are all one scent, and not layered, but the FO does darken the soap to an orangey colour.
  4. For Men: To give their wives....and how do you attract them to get them to buy for their wives? For kids: For Classmates?
  5. Thank you! I appreciate you responding to this thread, that way I can get to soapmaking today!
  6. So I normally by the unrefined Shea butter for soapmaking, and accidently bought the refined Shea Butter. What is the difference when it comes to soapmaking according the the soap calculations? There is only a button for Shea Butter (Karite) for calculating lye/water, percentages etc. Is it considered the same values as unrefined? Thanks girls! Tasha
  7. Scented Peak Cappiccino Hazelnut......MMMMMM it's so yummy and strong in the bottle, but in the soap, not so much, but still smells nice!! I added chunks of a previous food scented soap to the soap, and vanilla pod specks. I did not add FO to the small top layer so it would stay white, and sprinkled white mica on top....the bottom layer SHOULD darken to tan or light brown.
  8. They totally look like 'creamsicle' to me! Great job! I wish I could smell it!
  9. They're ancient markings.....perhaps you should sell it on ebay...might make a fortune! HAHAHA Love the soap!
  10. I didn't even know it was possible to make a 100% Shea bar. That must have been expensive to make?? Would definately be a fun experiment to do!
  11. Yep, the swap you joined is the one I'm in too....this will be the soap for the swap, but they're going to look different. This was just a tester to see if it discoloured etc. The white in the soap is where I didn't add FO, so I could tell how much it actually would discolour. I'm excited to get this one going for the swap. It smells divine!
  12. This FO is a duplicate of Clairol's Herbal Essence Shampoo. I mean a total exact scent! It's by a Canadian company called K&W Specialties Inc. Nice FO's but expensive!! I was testing this FO in soap for an upcoming Summer Swap I just joined onto. Looks like the FO's a go!
  13. I think they are perfect colours for Bedtime Bath!!
  14. Wow, you really went at it didn't you! Great swirls and colours!! Beautiful stuff!!
  15. Gorgeous soaps! A great collection for you spring and summer line!!
  16. I love this look on the top of the soap! It's so cool!!! Very fun and lively bars!!
  17. WOW Love them! So real! Great scents too!
  18. This year I made many Christmas soaps including, Egg Nog, Merry Mistletoe, Candy Cane, Gingerbread, Pumpkin Pie.....I found people weren't entirely interested in the Christmas soaps this year....but I did completely sell out to about 3 customers who bought big quantities of the Christmas soaps for making their own baskets for teachers gifts etc.
  19. Looks great, I would also suggest some height, plus it gives you more room! Even if you put a box underneath the tablecloth, people would never know what you used to give you the height... You're beautiful too...........
  20. I find paprika stays grainy when added to soap but it does make an orangey color. Good if you want to swirl with it though. I also love to use Tumeric as it is a great dark yellowy color. I add it to my sandalwood patchouli soap to make it look earthy. I also use cocoa powder occasionally for brown.
