  1. I love the puddle friends soap...... I've seen things embedded in soap before, but this is so cute......that the animals are sticking out like that.......
  2. Here is an order I received last minute, to make soap 22 favors for a '29th' Birthday. (The lady was over 30, but you know how hard 30 is; so we decided to print 29th..'again' on the labels) The soaps were my full size bars, cut in half...... Half of the soaps are Peaks Vanilla Hazelnut for the adults, and the others, a scent which said dewberry but smells completely like fruit punch, for the kids who were invited...... They were a hit!
  3. I don't mind the website on it at all.......so hopefully lots of people will chirp up and give you lots of opinions and you can make your choice on what you think is best. It's always great to get constructive critizism. I think the girl is cute..........and the font is great. Possibly make the website address just a wee bit smaller so it doesn't overtake everything else, and considering it's exactly the same as your business name with the dot com added, you're just repeating yourself really. I add my website address to my labels etc. I just make it smaller. Ohhh.....just thinking.......make your website address in a different font..........!
  4. Holy smokes You candle girls are amazing! I just look through the gallery since I'm not a candle maker.......... That honestly looks realistic. Great job!!
  5. Everything looks wonderful Brenda, as usual. GIRLS, you have to buy a bar of her soap.......and body butters. You won't regret it. (sugar & Fig) They are to die for........... Her stuff amazes me! (formerly fabulousfunfur, now soapinthecity)
  6. I just returned from Italy a week ago. One tour we made was to Pompei. This is a picture of their 'Central Baths' Picture 1. The entrance to the central baths Picture 2. The 'bath' made of marble Picture 3. Washing fountain made of marble Let's remember, Mount Vesuivius erupted in 79 AD, and already these central baths were being used for YEARS. What great condition still! Supposively a soap store was discovered with bars of soap and everything! Amungst the ash that covered everything.
  7. Talk about using what you have! What a great idea........ It looks sooooooooo creamy, like everyone has said........ I bet it will feel soft as well when you use it.
  8. I have used: Sweet Orange EO Anise EO Sandalwood EO Patchouli EO Lavender EO (LOVE IT) Tea Tree RO Rosemary EO Grapefruit EO all with no trouble at all................ I usually buy at the health food store, I just shop around for the best prices. Sometimes I find it's cheaper to use EO's when soapmaking than FO's!
  9. To 'heat' my lye water, after making it previously.... I usually place my jug into a hot water bath in the sink. It brings the temperature up slowly (to 100 degrees) and always works out fine. I usually make sure my oils are at 100 degrees as well just to be safe and accurate. Just a thought, for next time...........
  10. I've seen those before, and was really anxious to buy them but wasn't sure if my soap would fit into them! I usually cut 3/4 inch......... It was a great sale too at the time. Darn. But anyhow, you did a great job!
  11. That would have been perfect for my sisters wedding last year. She loves sunflowers. It's beautiful.
  12. Wow those candles are quite intriquite. I am not a candle maker, and am in awe on how you would possibly do that. I like your mushroom candles. So cool. Sorry to hear this show wasn't as good as the last at Christmas.
  13. I have ordered from VanDal Fragrances twice. (on Ebay) I was really dissapointed with their banana nut bread, and emailed them. They were sympathetic and said they try to stay true to the real thing, so I said I'd give them another chance and order something again, and was hoping for a free sample or something since I was nice enough to try them again.......but no.....and the scent in my new order was sweet pea amugnst others, was very fake. I'm not impressed with them at all, and personally I think it is quite expensive. 1/2 oz for $3.26 Canadian, shipping is $1.50 Canadian (that is good!)
  14. It looks good enough to eat! I bet it will feel wonderful. Good job!
  15. I was referred to http://wahmshoppes.com/ by another member and I really like it. It is $10 for a domain name, plus only $7 a month............. You have to set things up yourself but it gives you templates and stuff. It was alot of work, but am now really pleased with my website. Hope this helps..............
  16. I would like to make a hot oil type treatment for my hair..... Any suggestions on oils to use, and what to do? Thanks!
