  1. Thank you TallTayl, I'll look into those.
  2. I’m ordering a few small samples of wax to try out and I’ve been meaning to check out C1. My go-to would be Fillmore but they are out of stock. Is there another supplier that is selling C1 right now?
  3. I have also been on the search for this. I’ve tried blending with no real success. Usually caramel and light smoke notes.
  4. I have never understood this trend. Whenever I’ve tried to say something in groups (that I’ve since left) I’ve been swarmed at and told something to the effect of ‘it’s ok because they sealed the wood’ 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
  5. Nurture Soap has Kismet. I haven’t used it so I’m not sure if it’s what you’re after. Just wanted to put it on your radar if it wasn’t there already.
  6. This is both very motivating and very stressful and I don’t even sell 😅. I poured a round of holiday scents two weeks ago and am doing the tests and will certainly need to test, test, test some more. I was hoping to have a Christmassy candle to gift on Thanksgiving for close family but I’m going to give myself a plan B if it doesn’t come together in time.
  7. I’m going to size the wicks down and see if the scent regulates. Based on the second burn it’s getting too hot and that could be what’s causing the issue. Or at least contributing maybe. I’ll just keep at it. 🙂
  8. I wonder if the little bit of vanilla trick with citrus would work on pine...I’m not too keen to try it tbh. I’ve never made wax melts but do the same rules apply for melts as far as fuel coming through? I was wondering if it might be the wicks. 🤔
  9. I just got the bottle 2ish weeks ago. I think I might have a sinus thing going on. I’ll test it again in a few days to make sure I’m getting a clear profile.
  10. Has anyone gotten a fuel smell from it? I’m hoping it’s just my nose today 🤞 Its so gorgeous OOB. I poured at 6% using C3 in my 22 oz 3.75 Libby Cylinder. It’s cured and I’m double wicking with Premier745. Some fragrances are too hot toward the last 1/3 of the candle with those but others are not depending the fragrance. 735s are all slightly under wicked. Maybe I need 740s? Aztec sells those but they claim that they for paraffin which seems weird... Has anyone had this happen?😬
  11. It’s just the visual for me. Performance is good. Early on in testing (before I knew about those fun hidden sinkholes by the wick) I would run into trouble but that was really my error and was quite a learning curve as I had never encountered hidden pockets before.
  12. I’ve only had experience with the one 50lb case but I really do love the hot throw I’ve gotten when all goes as planned. I do feel like it needs to be coddled too much. Because I mess around on a small scale I’m ok with hole poking, heat gunning, second pours, and more recently jar heating... But those damn bubbles! I’ve tried tempering, stirring gently both frequently/unfrequently, pouring in stages, tapping the container, wiggling the wick, relief hole pokes, pouring at low temps, pouring at hot temps, pouring in the mid range...it just wants to bubble like it’s carbonated. I got so frustrated I even took a few month hiatus from candles and have been trying my hand at soap. So it’s still a work in progress. I’m stubborn so I’ll likely keep at it. I’m starting to think it might have been poor glass adhesion creating some of the air. So now I’m preheating jars and wondering If the grass is greener 😂🤞
  13. I’m almost done with a 50lb of c3 I got last year and I’m weighing out if troubleshooting the champagne bubbles is worth getting another one or jumping ship to something else 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 How do you like c1?
  14. I get this with my c3 if I heat gun the tops, pour too cool, or blink the wrong way. It is utterly maddening.
  15. Would you consider it a difficult fragrance to wick? I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such a stubborn fragrance at 6% 🤦🏻‍♀️ The wicks just keep wanting to drown... It smells SO good! Worth the effort. I may switch jars and see if I have better luck with that.
  16. I really like the sample of Amber 235 from WSP. Its gorgeous in earthy blends or on its own—It doesn’t steal the show. I love it but as with most things from WSP the price is a bit high. I’m definitely on the lookout for a one that’s similar for under $25 per pound.
  17. I don’t recall them ever getting political? Maybe I missed something?
  18. It needs a hot wick and it’s just as temperamental but I like the throw. It’s prone to hidden sinkholes and champagne like bubbles—tempering helps with that. You may need to experiment with pour temps. Worth a try but not as easy as 464 imo.
  19. Has anyone tried the Pumpkin + Persimmon? I just got it and It’s more fruity than I was expecting...like spiced punch. It’s not bad but it’s definitely not your average pumpkin. I haven’t put it in wax yet. I got a sample of Dark Rose + Laudanum and I’m disappointed that the Rose notes aren’t more pronounced. Hmm
  20. Ooh thanks for the input! I’m psyched 😊🤞
  21. Has anyone tried this? I just ordered 16oz of this and Christmas Tree and a sample of the Nutmeg. I’m hoping it’s good because I’m a cider donut freaker 😂.
  22. Ok so I came across this nice candle site (I don’t want to bash anyone so I’ll leave it anonymous). The chandler is making all sorts of claims and I’m frankly kind of baffled. It states that the person: “purchased fresh organic fruits from local farmers stands and developed an all natural scent which was cooked into organic waxes, without dyes or harmful chemicals.” Thats not a thing right? It seems very misleading. I’ve never seen anything about “cooking” food to make fragrance to then add it into wax. It’s implying that this fragrance is from scratch. There’s a lot of emphasis on locally sourced materials being used...a lot of dodgy marketing. sorry, I had nowhere else to rant 😂
  23. I’ve heard that they changed Lemon Pound Cake and it’s nothing like the original ☹️ I loved that one.
  24. I have so many I need to be rid of. When I get the motivation I’ll list here. I never really know what to charge—is there a guideline?
  25. Thank you, I’ve actually been meaning to try soy but I got way too caught up in all the butters 😂
