  1. You're killing me with these beautiful soaps. Could we have some swirling tutorials?
  2. You've got that swirl thing down. Beauuuutifullll
  3. Would these work? http://www.rachelssupply.com/lipbalm.htm This is the description: These .095 ounce tubes are smaller and more compact than the standard .15 ounce tubes, perfect for fitting into tight pockets and small purses. Scroll down toward bottom of page HTH
  4. Thanks Meridith Old person here but fairly new addict. LOL Now that I think about it, it is only the colors I mixed several months ago doing this. All of my new Neons are working fine. I had put them in 4 oz. bottles and don't soap as much as you all do. I think I will dump them and make much smaller amounts with new glycerin. Ugh! Thanks to both of you
  5. I didn't think of that. I'll try using new color next time and see. Thanks so much.
  6. I have made several batches of CPHP recently. The last two have seized as soon as I add the color to the small amount I pull out. There is no FO in this so I don't understand why the last two have done this after so many good batches. Same recipe for them all. It was so thick you couldn't swirl it in the main pot, it was like clay. I use oxides and ultra marines mixed with glycerin in squeeze bottles. Anyone have any idea why some colors worked out and the black and blue didn't? I appreciate any help. Thanks
  7. So sorry I didn't get back here. It is just listed Abercrombie and Fitch. Someone said it was Fierce so I took a chance and ordered it. As soon as my son smelled it we knew it was. He has the real thing. It is great and really strong. HTH
  8. I have ordered three times in the last few months and everything was fine. I've gotten mostly styrene molds, some lids and Fierce FO that is so strong I needed to use about half the amount. Haven't tried anything else but the Fierce is to die for.
  9. Congratulations:yay: I scraped the sides too and wasn't happy, that's how we learn. Now I make soap balls with with the leftover dried parts before I wash the container. They turn out great.
  10. This reads as pure olive oil to me just like the famous brand. The only difference I see is it is just a different, cheaper brand they are now starting to carry. It was called Members Mark. HTH They looked alike in the store but the Members Mark looks a little darker now, so may not soap much lighter than the Pomace. I guess we will see.
  11. Thank you, that is what I needed to know. LOL :highfive:
  12. I have both the Bertoli and Members Mark sitting here and they read exactly the same on the back in fine print, refined olive oil plus extra virgin olive oil. I have pomace but was looking for a whiter bar without the green tint to contend with. I have used Bertoli olive oil before with great results. Being fairly new, could you explain why it would be a bad thing to use this? Maybe the refined is not good to soap with? Just trying to learn here. Thanks Billie
  13. Just got back from Sam's Club and they now have a generic olive oil for $16 something compared to Bertoli Classico at $23 something. I checked the back label and held them up to the light and they looked the same color. Just trying pay it forward for all the help you all have given. YaaaHoooooo!!!! Billie
  14. Witchy Woman Clockwork Red Sorry, not very good at this.
  15. Lovely swirl and color. Looks beautiful.
  16. I know this is a stupid question but can someone tell me the difference between cosmetic grade avocado oil or refined. Mainly, is there a difference in color and would this be good to use in an emulsified body butter? TIA Billie
  17. Thanks for the info. I have two good looking batches of HP and rebatch out of about 12. LOL! I have a lot to learn but that is what makes life fun and interesting.
  18. OK It does say for CP so I guess that is my answer. :embarasse Billie
  19. LOL Thanks. Saw your demo at the Ohio gathering but was to new to know anyone or say Hi. I will next time, and make sure I get a seat up front . I would pay for different swirl techniques video. ( hint ) Keep soaping and showing those lovely's off. Billie
  20. I have tried to CPOP pink sugar twice now with vanilla stabilizer. The first batch I threw out, there was so much oil on the top. The second batch which looked great in the mold with beautiful swirls before I put it in the oven, did the same thing. I scooped this into a pot and put in the oven and saved it. ( so it cooks just fine) Just wondering if I missed directions somewhere about not being able to CPOP with vanilla stabilizer. Does anyone know? Thanks Billie
  21. Those are beautiful. Glad to see how this soaps, I have this fragrance. I don't understand how you and some others get your swirls all in the same direction, they are all horizontal across the bar. Love your creativity.
  22. Beauuuutiful! Would never have the patience or steady enough hand.
