  1. I just absolutely enjoy what I'm doing. I figure as long as I can at least make enough to pay for my supplies and my internet, I'm happy. I do have quite a few repeat customers, and have only been doing this since last summer.
  2. not sure what they mean by that, but I did notice one thing about them- they are not Gel safe.
  3. I've only used the dye chips, 'cause that's what I was introduced to. Sometimes they don't dissolve all the way and leave "particles" on the bottom of the jar- most of the time I can just hide it with a warning label. Must be happenin' on those bad hair days
  4. cool....no, it's not too early for CHristmas. I'm getting ready for my next show the end of July, and it's their annual Christmas in July Craft Show. I've heard that alot of people already think about Christmas presents then.
  5. what a beautiful summery color!! I luv making tarts....they're so easy.
  6. I agree w/Geek....no more than 1/2" then
  7. what is the diameter of the jar you are working with?
  8. done some slanted layers myself. they're kinda fun to do! just wish they burned slanted too...lol...lol
  9. I agree w/TOP...you may be overdoing it between the 2- FO & EO. EO's are much more concentrated. BTW--ask away!! that's what we're all here for
  10. I only seem to have to change sizes if #1- I'm using a darker/heavier oil, or #2- I'm using a different wax
  11. all I can recommend, is that you should not even have to double wick that size diameter. I do not use those types of wicks, I use RRD's and LX's. HTH
  12. here is a link for my friend Ruth- she is in Indiana. e-mail her or call her and tell her that Sheri in FLorida referred you. She has the sq masons. HTH http://www.flowerpatchcandleandsupply.com/
  13. It is my understanding, that Vybar is not to be used in soy- it is for paraffin wax. What type of soywax r u using?? There is an additive for soy.
  14. out of all the ones I've tested, I like the 464 the best.
  15. scroll about 1/2 way down- it is right in the middle of the page http://scentsations4u.com/google.htm
  16. I just saw an ad on here for this company. They have a sale- 99cents on 1 oz FO's. Anyone order from them?? TIA
  17. They look awesome!! I've done some layers myself. Wish there was a way that they could stay looking layered through the entire burn process , like that's possible.I like your scent choices, very interesting combo
  18. yup- wetspots don't seem to matter to my customers (soy candles here) They drive me nuts...lol...lol Depending on the size of your jar, if you wait a day or too, you can sometimes "hide" them w/your label, etc. I also use scrapbooking stickers to "decorate" the jars too. was in Walmart yesterday- WETSPOTS GALORE!!!!
  19. not sure if this helps at all, but they have the best LemonGrass, and Sage&Citrus. I will only get them from there. They are very nice to deal with.
  20. this probably isn't any help, but I AM AN ADVANCED LOVER, and have been for almost a year. I don't do outdoor "summer" shows (in florida, yeah right) , but just so you know- I've had other waxes "sweat" in the heat. I've kept some cotton balls on hand to "dab" if it gets too bad. AAHHHH, the joy of soy. will you have any electric, so that perhaps you can at least have a portable fan circulate the air? I even kept and burned a candle that had "seeped" and it burned absolutely as it should- perfectly.
