Mine seperated some too, I had used about half the container before I noticed it (or before it seperated). I am thinking it's because it's been warm and we haven't turned on the ac yet. Could this have been the same for you? Sami

I just saw some in the pharmacy of my grocery store (allergies ugh) but it was 11.99 for a little cup size bottle of it. There are several of the soap supply sites that carry it. Sami

I made my first lotion! It's a olive oil and mango butter recipe scented with baby powder! Question: It's a little greasy on the palms, can I use a touch of cornstarch to dry this up a bit? Sami

I picked up a bottle of it to pair with my lotion and make a body parfait. From what I've read about making your own gel it can be difficult and requires a few ingredients. Now if only I'd get some time to try making lotion I could use it. Sami

I always choose UPS over FedEx. UPS delivers from Oakland the day they get it there (more than 40 miles away) and FedEx has a site less that 20 miles away but it takes them at least a whole day if not longer to get the package from there to me. FedEx also delivers weird hours, all over the map, and several different trucks can be seen in my nieghborhood daily, where UPS I know the driver and he is in my area at 11am everyday. I really do wish more suppliers would jump on the flatrate boxes though especially for the little stuff like fo samplers and wicks. Sami

Ok long here so get ready, I have been testing the 4 oz tins from peaks, ecosoya 135 and lx wicks. I've settled on the 16 or 18 depending on fo. I get great pours and cold throw, but no hot throw. I thought this was because my testing room (12 x 16) was too large for the little tin. Well I got a candle warmer on sale to try out, never used one before, set my tester candle of peaks cucumber cantaloupe on it and wow, the entire upstairs is smelling good. So a scientific question would be why is there such a difference between wick burning and warming when it comes to hot throw? More practical question for me is what wick comes close to the lx16 and lx18 for me to try? Sami

Has anyone tried SFIC's liquid bases? I'm thinking of adding them to the co-op I'm hosting at the end of the month. Are they worth it? Sami

I'm using ecosoya 135 and have found a lx 16 or lx 18 works with the fos I've tried so far. Sami

I don't know how yours was packaged but at my store there was nothing stopping me so I just opened it up and looked for the metal, didn't see any so I figured it is the right stuff. (I'm waiting to buy because bcn will be carrying it soon and I need to order from them anyway) Sami

I just got a new scale from target that goes to .01 oz, I think it was 15 or 20 bucks. It also has a clock and timer on it. Sami

A nifty little gadget. Well there are several I think, you can make stickers, laminate, and a few others things too. I went for a KA since the mixer I had I hated using even for baking. At linens and things, they will let you use those 20% off coupons that come in the newspaper on the KA. I got mine for $223 plus at the time they had a $20 mail in rebate too. (Right now they have a special where you get an attachment free, I've heard the slicer part is good for rebatching) Sami

I use the little metal condiment cups, but I am about to switch to glass because the fo doesn't like to come out of the metal. Sami

No adhesive but they static cling to glass and some plastics. You can get them at walmart or any of the office stores. Sami

They could be using this Epsom printer I keep hearing about (can't remember # now) but it uses some high tech ink that supposedly will go through the dishwasher multiple times without ever smearing or running. Can you call them and ask? I've never bought from them. I've bought some vinyl cling sheets to see what happens with those, otherwise I think they'll look good on my tumbler candles. Sami
