2. Your swirls are very unique...I loved the ones in your other post as well w/your 1st soap...Nice work!
3. WOW! Very interesting to say the least
4. Way to go...you did it, I knew you could, they look great. Congrats, they are going to go very well in your store Elle
5. and the pepper candle is $10.00, are you kidding me? I am so temped to email her on her website and just say "Are you kidding me" LOL
6. you know I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7. Try here, they have a large selection and only require a $25 minimum order. I like they have the cupcake containers, they are the only place you don't have to buy a minimum of about 300 at a time. I plan on putting an order in this week. 8. I need another business like I need a hole in my head LOL But it would be nice to have those prices and contacts
9. Oh, I so used to love to order from AH, then things went bad and I waited forever for a rush order, didn't get calls back or answers to my emails so I had to stop ordering. That was almost 2yrs ago, I love her prices and her shipping to me was almost rediculously low but I have to have things within a reasonable time. Everytime this a thread comes up about her, I make the statement that I would love to buy her out along with all of her contact info. She is sitting on a gold mine but pretty much destroyed it.
10. AND people have bought them, I looked at feedback---lovely candles, smell great OMG, I would be so urked if I purchased candles and this showed up at my door. It is such an insult to other crafters.
11. Ok, I am very nosy, so I went to ebay and typed in handmade votives, there is one person, may be the same one from your pic that has the worst votives I have ever seen, maybe the worst looking product I have ever seen on ebay. Here is one pic of her candles, go look, you will be ROFL and be embarrassed for her at the same time
12. what do you mean, they look awesome
13. Well, have you cut it yet, do we have to start chanting the "cut it" mantra? LOL
14. Big 3 day outdoor show in 2 weeks, need to put final touches on some things, make label, finish lotion bars, make some more lip balms, label some loofahs, and just some general organizing done b4 the big day... I am really looking forward to the show, it is long and tiring but I love seeing my repeat customer and meeting new ones
15. Maryann, I couldn't find them at Lowes and everyone there said they didn't carry them, I found them at Walmart. Maybe since your hubby works there he can find them. Good luck and post any info when you are testing them if you don't mind Elle
16. Ok, everyone has been talking about the solar salts and the size etc. so I went and bought a bag. The pic below show the solar salt on the right and the sea salt I bye from Soap Wizards on the left, they really are very similar in size, the coin is a dime for reference. I have a lot of customer's who like this larger size of salt and a large # of them use these in their hot tubs. Note: I have never used the Solar Salt in my salt blend but I did a test of dissolve time between the two and the solar salt dissolved a little bit slower, if that matters to anyone HTH
17. Ok, I gotta have some of that, it looks way bigger than 2oz, very pretty, as usual!
18. Wickerbeal, that is how I used to do mine, I would wet my loofah, shove into pvc pipe and then pour my soap. Now, because I hate cutting thru all the additives, I cut my loofah and wet, pour a capper into individual molds add the loofah, then pour my soap and top off each soap with more additives. Both ways work, the wet loofah just makes it not so hard to cut through
19. By the way your candles are very pretty! I would not add the cost of shipping, although tempting, everything stated above is true plus you would have to change your prices for local pick-up customers
20. Looks great to me! Can't wait to see it cut...did you say what fragrance it is? Great color
21. You wet them first then squeeze the heck out of them as to get all the water out of them. They are much easier to work with, but if you buy them whole and cut them yourself don't wet until after you cut them Today I made 30 loofahs, I make them similar to yours but I add pumice, oats and poppy seeds to mine for extra exfolitation, and mango butter for xtra moisturizing, its funny I was going to post the new ones I made today then saw yours. The new one is my own orange, tea tree and lavender blend, they smell awesome. I might post them later, I put some of the other fragrances up last year. These are a very hot seller for me, I am taking a couple 100 of them to my next show, I will probably still run out, they sell for $7 but I run a show special 3/$15. Yours are very pretty, nice bright colors! Edited to add: What do you use for a mold?
22. Just a note, per their CF they will not ship the homogenized Palm in a cube during the summer months due to the fact it will melt and well, it will go all over the place, if you need the homogenized you might want to call them and see what there cut off date is. HTH Michelle
