  1. Hotel Costes - Sweet Cakes Yuzu & Stonecrop - Candlewic Chocolate Orchid - NG Volcano Capri Blue Type - Aztec Neroli & Shea Blossom - Bramble Berry Tibetan Black Tea - SOS Asian Sandalwood - Flaming Sunset - Indigo Tomato - WSP Black Orchid - Scentperfique
  2. I completely agree with TallTayl.... Bramble Berry - Champagne.... Hands down.
  3. According the NG's scent description.... They don't advertise it really. You have to dig to find this tidbit. "For bath and body crafters, this fragrance oil performs very well in finished products. In fact, Natures Garden’s Vanilla Bean Fragrance Oil is very similar to another well known company’s Vanilla Bean Noel. "
  4. Oops, didn't notice the 464 stipulation. I actually use C-3 (NatureWax) soy wax. Update: I think I actually prefer Nature's Garden. Just went through my testing notes from last year and I wrote that I had to use a 15% ratio with the Flaming Candles oil but only 10% with NG. WSP's scent was good enough but it discolored my wick tabs which subsequently discolored the wax. I notice this happens with anything containing vanillin with WSP.
  5. Flaming Candle - http://www.theflamingcandle.com/candle-fragrance-oil/fragrance-oil-a-z/vanilla-bean-noel-type-fragrance-oil/ Nature's Garden - http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/blog/vanilla-bean-fragrance-oil/ WSP - http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/products/vanilla-bean-noel-fragrance-oil.aspx Those are my recommendations in that order. WSP is last because theirs, although good, kinda gives me a chemically scent. I think Oregon Trails has one as well but I haven't tried that one yet.
  6. Wax: Coco-soy blend Application: Candles Scents: Hotel Costes - Sweet Cakes Salted Caramel - The Flaming Candle Pumpkin Souffle - Fillmore
  7. I know SaveOnScents has a 'key notes' collection. I have purchased some and can say some are so true to their name. Such as "celery salt"... Smells like literal celery with salt. Incredible. Same goes for their "Pink Peppercorn"... smells just like pink pepper. Not perfumey like other so called pink peppers. I also purchased the "Thyme" oil and it is incredible. Single note of thyme, that's it. I'm not sure if links are allowed (mods please delete link if not allowed) but here is the link to their key notes collection. http://www.saveonscents.com/index.php/cPath/291_424 Good luck on your search!
  8. There is a thread on Scent Blending that I think you would be interested in... http://www.craftserver.com/topic/107499-blending-scents-chart/
  9. Exactly what I do. I just use the aged EO from Liberty anytime I need a hint of Patchouli. Patchouli FO just doesn't do it for me. I'm glad someone else here has had success burning Patchouli EO in candles.
  10. I have used their Midnight Jasmine and it's incredibly strong in soy wax at a 10-15% ratio. I have also used their Tomato Leaf and was really pleased with the results.
  11. DayStar is still in business. I have ordered from Stacy within the past 2 months and everything I ordered was in stock and fulfilled.
  12. It's definitely a winter scent in my book but I reckon adding some citrus to it will give it a nice spring element.
  13. One of my favorites. Love this scent. It's like a mix between Cedarwood, Leather, Amber, Talcum Powder, with the tiniest pinch of Cumin to me. It's meant to be a duplication of the popular 'Black Cedarwood & Juniper' Jo Malone scent.
  14. Sweetheart Roses - Nature's Garden Sexy Little Thing - WSP Strawberries & Champagne - WSP Dark Kiss - WSP Pure Seduction - WSP Black Currant Rose - Sweet Cakes
  15. French Market is a VERY strong scent... Heavy on the perfume and floral notes. Popular scent among connoisseurs of classic feminine parfums.
  16. White Palm is a subtle but strong citrus/aquatic scent to my nose. Notes include (to my nose): Bamboo, Palm Leaf, Sea Spray, with the slightest hint of Pineapple. Many people say it is similar to Bath & Body Works' "White Citrus"
  17. Off the top of my head... Pink Lilac & Willow - Aztec Bermuda Sands - Sweet Cakes Rain & Angelica - Flaming Polynesian Plumeria - Daystar Japanese Cherry Blossom - Fillmore White Palm (Slatkin Type) - CandleWic I will add more once I go through some of my oils.
  18. According to their Facebook page... " Mike's Fragrances N MoreJanuary 8 at 12:18pm · Dallas, TX· Mike's Fragrances N More We are currently Closed Temporary keep checking on our facebook for updates" May be a personal reason but they say it is temporary. Still a red flag if you ask me. To close temporarily and not fulfill orders already paid for. Definitely bad business sense.
  19. Everclear is a flavorless, highly potent alcohol. It is 150 to 190 proof. For comparison, traditional Moonshine is only 100% proof.
  20. Thanks for the heads up! I will make certain never to try it then. I don't have a liking for liquor. Just reading the word everclear earlier sent a shudder up and down my body.
  21. TallTayl is entirely correct about Limoncello. I normally associate Limoncello with gelatos and sorbets which have a creamier taste. My gluttonous self completely forgot it originated in liquor form. haha
  22. Their Leather, Stargazer Lily, Vanilla Bean Nectarine, Orange Ginger Fizz, Vineyard, Honeysuckle, Downy Fresh, Black Canyon, Chanel no5... have all been tested in my coco-soy wax blend and are all incredibly strong. I have also tried all of their "Fine Fragrances" (designer duplications) as well and they don't really seem worth it to me for the price jump and high cost of the oils so I wouldn't recommend those.
  23. Even though I had a past formulation issue (with a designer duplication) with them in the past, I would recommend Save On Scents for some of their vanilla scents. they have a plethora and they post ALL reviews, good and bad, so you will have a good idea of whether the oil is good or not. I have tried several from them and I think Very Vanilla is amazing... http://www.saveonscents.com/product_info.php/products_id/1211
