  1. The candles look great! I really like the labels and the color - it looks pretty.
  2. Oh no! I hope it's just difficulties. I can't get it to come up either.
  3. I just had a customer buy $400 worth of stuff. They were buying Christmas gifts for the entire family.
  4. BCN has some good flavor oils and they have all three of those. And they can be used for the lava lip gloss.
  5. You may need to get permission to work from the home from whoever owns the building. When I first started making candles, I lived in an apartment and I was told I needed written permission from the company that owned the apartments to work from home in order to get licensed.
  6. I've tried the Bird of Paradise and I really liked it. It had a nice throw too. I've only tried this scent from BCS before, but I like Peak's much better.
  7. I don't know...that seems a bit tacky to me. If my kid came home with a brochure I'd glance at it and then toss it in the trash. I'd also be a little annoyed that someone was using my kid to try and push their business while they are suppose to be out having fun. I think I'd try to find another way to get your brochures out there. jmo
  8. Oh, I didn't realize that was a link.:embarasse No, I don't think you need to list the ingredients on the page. The link should be fine.
  9. I really like your site. The background and the graphics are really nice. The only thing I would suggest is to maybe add the ingredients for each item. I know for myself, before I buy anything, I need to know the ingredients because I have allergies.
  10. :yay:Congratulations!! :whoohoo: That's exciting!
  11. I get mine at MMS: http://www.thesage.com/catalog/Additives.html
  12. I've ordered from Moon Glow before. I haven't used their soy drops though. They are a great company to work with - very nice and they have great customer service. They have good products too.
  13. I think it looks really good too. I would like it better though if the bow was off to the side so you could read the writing on the paper. I don't like how it covers up your business name and the ingredients. Other than that, very nice - doesn't look cheap.
  14. I like the EcoSoya PB. Works great for me.
  15. She just did one for me too and did an excellent job. Well worth the money.
  16. I'm going to try making it a few more times before I give up. If I figure something out, I'll let you know.
  17. I'm using this for tarts right now. I like the PB much better but I ran out and I had a case of the VB lying around so I'm trying to use it up. I notice if I don't pour at just the right temp I'll get a circular crack around the tart. Also I can't pour too high up on the mold or it'll crack. I usually pour at about 150 and stop just short of the top of the mold and I don't have any problems. I would definitely suggest using the PB though once you run out of this stuff.
  18. Sort of. I figured out the % of everything so I could make 20 oz instead of the 80+ oz (don't have enough space to store that much scrub). Actually, I saw a post about the % and just double checked them. I didn't add any preservative either since I didn't have any. Could I have added the sugar too soon? I waited until the oils started to thicken before I started to add it. Or maybe I didn't mix the sugar into the oils well enough?
  19. I decided to give the holy grail scrub a try. I've made it twice and both times it turns out great but after it sits for a few days the oils start separating.:undecided Anybody know whats going on or what I can do to fix it? Thanks, Budgie
  20. Actually, I didn't get a chance to try it out yet. I've been a bit busy making candles for a home party on Mon. I probably won't get a chance to try it out until Mon or Tues. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the tip. Budgie
  21. I've mad about 5 batches of bath bombs so far and I keep running across the same problem. When I set them up to dry, they keep getting dents on the bottom. Each batch I've made, I've used less and less liquid hoping to fix the problem. Right now I'm using 96% Dry (Baking Soda & Citric and sometimes sea salts) and 4% Liquid (Oils & FO - no water) ingredients. I am at a complete loss. Can anyone help as to what I may be doing wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Budgie:smiley2:
  22. I started making only candles and then added some lotion/butter bases and some mp soap. As far as retail goes, the b&b far outsell the candles. But for wholesale I do much better with candles. I've recently started trying to make my own b&b products since they're doing so much better than the candles. Between the wholesale and the retail though, it pretty much evens out for me.
