  1. I agree. I think your site looks wonderful, but I too was under the impression that your candles were 100% soy.
  2. Moon Glow sells them: http://www.moonglowcandles.net/wicks-tabbed.htm
  3. Thanks for sharing. It was an interesting read.
  4. If they don't have the time to inform customers either by a phone call or an "out of stock" notice on their website, then maybe they need to hire more people.
  5. I did work with them (for months!) that's why it finally got straightened out. And I did send them the bottle. I didn't write the whole story of how I worked with them because it's too long. I think it's great for you that you have such a good experience with them but maybe you're just fortunate (or you know someone that works there). But for me, whenever there was something wrong with my order, they weren't good at correcting the problem and that is why I stopped using them.
  6. Huh, that's funny, because not only was I not informed when something was out of stock, I was also charged for the item as well. When I called to tell them I was charged for an item I never received they then told me it was out of stock. This is not the only problem I've had with this company which is why I stopped using them 3 years ago. I'm sure if we all got the fantastic service you did, none of us would be complaining. Even a broken watch is right twice a day, so I imagine that even they can get it right once in awhile. I also had an issue with them sending me the wrong scent that took months to get straightened out. They kept trying to convince me that Red Currant should smell like Cinnamon. I suggested to them that maybe the Red Hot Cinnamon and Red Currant got mixed up but they kept insisting that Red Currant should smell like Cinnamon. By the time I finally talked to Cindy and got it all straightened out, I didn't feel it was worth it to do business with them anymore.
  7. I've never used the Cargill, but I do like the EcoSoya PB. Works great & it usually doesn't frost much.
  8. Here's some threads you might want to check out. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15422&highlight=wellington http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6236&highlight=wellington
  9. I really liked these wicks when I used them. They are described as self-trimming, but I did not find that to be the case. Well, at least they're not like other self-trimming wicks I've used. The wick stayed straight up and did not bend over. The flame gets a little bigger than normal, but the part of the wick that is burning stays small (does that make sense?) so you don't have to trim them that much. I could usually get away with using a 3x32 or 3x34 in the Apothecaries (4" diameter), but sometimes I had to go up to a 3x36. I was using CB-135 with the jars - not 100% soy. I've noticed the 135 to be easier to wick than 100% soy. Sometimes I would get slight mushrooming, but not much. When I was feeling lazy, I wouldn't trim the wick between burns and I had no problems with the flame getting too high.
  10. Moon Glow sells a few of the larger sizes. That's where I got mine from.
  11. I've used the FW wicks before when I used to work with Apothecary jars. I really liked them. They were the only wick I could ever find to single wick an Apothecary with soy. For the most part they burn pretty clean. Sometimes I would get a little soot on the jars but not much.
  12. Yes, I just staple it. I use an elongated stapler I got at Office Max and brochure paper (the shiny kind - like photo paper). I get the same response as Brooke. People love them and can't believe they are homemade.
  13. I have a catalog, but I just print it up myself on Publisher.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions. I will check them out.:smiley2:
  15. Thanks Trish. I'll send them an email.
  16. I wanted to put a jar in them, but the 4x4x4 is too big for the jar and it looks way to big & bulky to be sitting on a shelf in the store. It would be ok for a gift box just not good for a store.
  17. Thanks Candleman. Unfortunately, those boxes are still either too big or too small:cry2:
  18. Does anyone know where I can get boxes custom made? I tried US Box and another company but the boxes are just too big. I need something that is 3.5L x 3.5W x 4/4.5H. Someone please help me, I am getting sooo frustrated! TIA
  19. I shrink wrap my tarts individually. It's a little time consuming, but I think they look more professional that way.
