  1. I love the Strawberry Kiwi. I use it at an ounce/lb in soy and it's so strong. An awesome scent.
  2. I like it. It looks really nice. I especially like the flame above the L. Beckie just did a new logo for me too and I love it. She does great work.
  3. Bitter Creek North is in Wisconsin and they have reasonable prices & shipping.
  4. I love the Strawberry Kiwi. I use it in soy at 1oz/lb and it is sooo strong. Great scent!
  5. I think the round ones look better.
  6. I like the white marble too.:smiley2:
  7. I agree with starting small. When I first started making candles (about 4 or 5 years ago), I wanted to do everything: pillars, containers, votives, tarts... I soon realized I hated making pillars and votives and now I have about 150 lbs of pillar wax lying around:embarasse. Now I just make containers and occaisionally some tarts. It would have all gone much faster and been much less of a headache had I just focused on making jars. Figure out what you really like doing and then just focus on that for the time being. Good luck and have fun!
  8. I like the white marble label the best too.
  9. I use USPS and have them pick up my boxes. It's so nice and easy. The mailman comes to pick it up when he delivers the mail so I always know when to expect him. And with the Flat Rate priority boxes, they get there much quicker than sending UPS. So far I haven't had any problems with the post office like I've had with UPS and FEDEX.
  10. I love their Cinnabuns & Pumpkin Pie. The Pumpkin Pie is my best Fall/Winter seller. Their Moon Glow scent is pretty good too. Smells very clean.
  11. Thanks. I don't add anything to them. I've thought about adding UV but just haven't gotten around to ordering any. I usually don't get frosting on my tarts no matter how long they sit around. On rare occaisions I will get slight frosting - actually it only happened once on some Christmas tree scented ones - but there's so little it's really no big deal.
  12. I would love to hear your results with the status jars. The only thing that really bothers me about this wax is that I can't consistently get smooth tops. Maybe I'll try pouring hotter again. I switched to straight sided tumblers recently and just stuck with pouring cool because I didn't want to mess around with it again.
  13. Here's a picture of my soy tarts in shrink wrap. I use a pillar blend to make them and I don't have any problems with them melting.
  14. I would like to say that I never bash paraffin in order to sell my own products. I make good quality products and I think they sell themselves.
  15. Before I started making candles myself, I bought soy candles all the time and as a customer, I would not have purchased a candle with paraffin in it. I would always get black soot all over the TV and walls and didn't want my lungs to look the same way. I guess it depends on what people want. I don't want a product made from petroleum burning in my home. Heck, I don't even use vaseline because it has petroleum in it and I don't want that on or in my body. JMHO:smiley2:
  16. I used the CB135 with 16 oz apothecary jars and found the cooler I poured the wax the better the chance that my tops would be smooth. For me, this wax is very finicky though (I guess that's the case with all soy wax:sad2:). I rarely get wet spots but getting smooths tops seems to be iffy. I can do the exact same thing with 2 candles and one top comes out fine and the other looks like a mess. In my own experience, I have not been able to pour at a high temp and get a smooth top:mad:. But I have read that other people can do it.
  17. I agree with Sharon. Mine continue to cure as well. I burned one candle half way down about 2 months ago and let it sit around uncovered and just started burning it again yesterday and it smells awesome.
  18. Moon Glow has them: http://www.moonglowcandles.net/wicks-tabbed.htm
  19. Tess, I think I figured out the problem. I use Firefox for my browser and the links aren't working on there. I tried it on Explorer and it worked just fine. So I guess Firefox is the problem.
  20. I use this wax to make tarts that I shrink wrap and I have a few that I made a couple months ago that have some slight frosting, but nothing too bad. I don't know if it would be any different with votives or pillars though.
  21. I can get to both of the candle pages, it's just went I try to click on the scent types like Best Sellers, Fruity, etc. that nothing happens.
  22. I think it looks great! I like the pink border too.
  23. It looks good. Nice and simple. The only problem I had is when you click on "Container Candles" and "Flower Pot Votives" and then it lists the types of scents, I couldn't click on the types of scents to see them.
  24. Wow!! What a great opportunity. Good Luck and have fun!!
  25. Bev, Did you apply for the trademark yourself or go through an attorney? I was thinking of trademarking my name, but to go through an attorney is sooo expensive. I was also afraid I might screw it up if I did it myself.:embarasse
