I am burning 2 8 oz tins with 4630 added 5 oz wax and .5 fo to each. Using LX 20 and Eco 12 both burning very nice and at 2 1/2 hours have almost FMP , Eco 12 closer. Using fo HAVANA from Flaming but cannot smell anything. What?????? OK now I went out on my deck and can really smell it! but not anywhere near the candle burning. How does that work??

But what about the scent? You find the right wick or wicks then make test candle 8 oz tin with fo added. when does the scent start to fill my kitchen???

It always mixes very nice and I pour each melt quickly before they start to set up. Very good HT and CT on the melts. I love making melts and experimentsing with 8 oz tin candles right now with 4630 but this wicking thing is killing me.......

I have used this wax for my melts for two 2 years. i heat to 180 add fo at 160 and then pour. Great hot and cold throw and never had dimples they come out perfect

I've got two candles burning 4630 htp 83 and Lx 22 both with Lavender and black amber scent. Both are giving good scent throw in the rooms (8 oz tins) but I still smell a little wax with the scnet. is that normal or is it just me? Both wicks look good and are burning about the same rate and have been burning for 1 hour with not quite a FMP

I have a store costing $4.99 a month which is very cheap in my opinion. My listing are free, I believe I have either 200 or 250 listings a month. I pay my final value fee of 10% and if I charge for ship it is also 10% so i do free ship and just up the price . What I do that most people there I know do not do is END a a few listing every couple weeks and then right away re-list so they go up on the first page and stay for a few hours and if they are selling in that time they will stay there for longer. Just away to get them seen more often than just waiting for people to click on my store catagories. I keep in contact with former and current buyers and send emails about new scents I have just listed. It seems to work. i get orders everyday, I'll never get rich but it makes my house payment every month. I know several Ebay sellers that also sell on Etsy and say they do well. I have been looking at it but will not list anything until I know more how to set it up, payments and how it really works.

I wonder how many people who are selling candles on Ebay and Etsy do Not have insurance? I have spoken with two Etsy sellers about their candles before I bought them recently and neither have insurance. I only sell melts on Ebay and after reading this will be getting insurance for that. Very scary !!!

AM and burned for 2 hours today at 2 pmSounds like a better plan than mine. The thing is I made an identical one with Rose fo and it looked fine after blow out. Set hrd. This may just hve to much fo?

This is an 8 oz tin I poured yesterday AM Wax is 464 5 oz Heated to 185 Added .50 Tulips fo from Southest candle Wick CD 18 Stirred 2 minutes Poured 135 Burned for 2 hours today at 2 pm to 4 pm and then blew out Flame was good, steady no flicker etc and MP was very good even had a little scent This is mush... What happened?????

I have sold melts and mic on ebay for years and what you said makes sense. I've never purchased from tht site but I'm ure the packaging is very nice from the seller but tht is the reason for the higher cost too.

So just about the same as Ebay at 10% on a sale and if shipping 10% So what is the Etsy advantage I wonder. It dioe look more Posh

Etsy VS Ebay I want to see what the difference is in Cost for Esty Vs Ebay. Just looking at Etsy a little confusing. I have been selling on Ebay for some time and my invoices keep going up, any opinions or input would be appreciated.

I'm testing both right now. Have the baseline wick for both and pored with fo tonight. A few days will tell. used Fo Lavender Fields in C-3 and Roses and another in tulips in 464 They have reat CT right now aftersetting for a few hours.

I predict these wicks will work well in the tins once the air currents are built within the tin. These same wicks may be a size too big in taller glass containers. Tests of tins and glass status jars to come. stay tuned. Saw above in an old post: so you think a CD 14 will work in an 8 oz tin? Not to big? I have been testing the 6 and 8.

I for one am grateful.!!! I have learned sooooo much from both of your posts. Otherwise I would have given up and just stayed with making melts. Now I have something to look forward to each day.

Priority Mail Cubic Does anyone use this to ship their candles? I just saw a little blurb online but need to figure out what box etc to use

I amalso using the 8 oz tins.. I looked at the 4627 for HT but either it was out of stock or to expensive. mainly the mone part.

While I'm think of it and if you wouldn't mind my asking , what wax do you both use for your candles and tins?

Great advise from from both of you and I will get busy tomorrow. The 8 oz tin I made this PM with the Pro 400 from Flaming Looks good, I am starting with a CD 10 and I used fo Royal Wedding from Southwest Candle and The tin just sitting there has a great scent already, Hope it does well lit.
