  1. Thanks Clear Black i will go ahead and order a sample pack to try. The melt pool info will help a lot in testing thanks
  2. I have had no luck trying to wick candles in jars or tins. Have gone thru many many testers and just never burns perfectly for me so now looking at wooden wicks. I bough some Small ones from Aztec and tested a couple in a 6 oz tin with 3022 wax and Lavender fo and the wick in my opinion is to small. melt pool after 3 hours was not to edge and the HT was really good Does anyone work with these and are they worth the time and effort? They really sound cool when burning a crackle sound like a fireplace,. I would be able to make candles for gifts but I do not seem to have a green thumb for wicking.
  3. WOW Moonshine, your pics are really good. Ii like the way the melt looks even if the scent does not last longer
  4. Moonshine I like the way you think !! Mixing ahead in a small jar and then sprinkling on to the melts is very clever. I am going to try this with and give a neighbor to try it out Let me know how yours turns out
  5. This was a lot of troubel soaking the salt and then putting in the melts.BUT the scent has lasted longer than the usual ones I make with this scent just messy to make Not sure how to improve.
  6. Used 8 oz 4625 wax Kumquat FO 1/4 ts of kosher salt soaked in the fo first 30 min (1/2/oz of fo) Then put a little of the salt in a square brownie bite silicone mold and poured in fo after that .. will leave sit for a few hours and then try or maybe tomorrow To much work !!!!
  7. I'll try a couple melts and see if this really works
  8. The person telling me this said she soaked the salt in the fo and then when pouring the melt put some of it in along with the liquid fo left, Said her melts lasted many days because of it. I would LOVE to hve my melts last longer but this does'nt sound like it would work any better than just the reg wax melt and fo and to much trouble
  9. I put some Kosher salt in my warmer and a few drops of fo and it has been working very nicely this AM
  10. Has anyone ever heard of soaking a little rock salt in an FO and then putting in the melt when pouring so the melt is stronger and last longer?
  11. Ok no problem

  12. If you have any more to sell let me know

    Thanks

  14. So you use the 4625 in the pour pot and then when it melts add the color and fo and still keep it heating on the stove? I was melting wax to desired temp and then adding color and oil after I took the pot off the stove. not right?? Thanks
  15. molds meaning tarts? Is it a harder wax even if it is soy?
  16. Replying to Old Glory and her melts. You use 95% paraffin and a soy. May I ask what wax you use for paraffin? My melts are to soft with 6006 and 4625 but am afraid to go 4625 only, Thanks Karen
  17. I make tarts for myself and family and use a 50/50 of 6006 and 4625 but have read people using C-3 for candles and get great scent throw. Will C-3 wok for melts?
  18. quick qu4estion.  what would be the price of the total lot with shipping after the pending are gone to 85258

    Portion cups

Walmart sells 2 oz portion cups. Would they be alright to use? Has any one tried them?
  22. Thanks so much!! That is great information! Now it is just a matter of pricing the shipping.
  23. Hi all, I am thinking of selling some of the 8 oz mason jar candles make. I now sell them at craft shows so there is no shipping. But I need to see what is the best choice for boxes, bubble wrap etc to price these correctly and what about breakage in shipping? Any suggestions would be helpful Thanks
  24. So you just keep dipping the ornament until thick? Those are really nice
  25. Can you put up pictures. This is the first time I have herd of doing this and it sounds great but what do they look like?
