Hey all, wick question here. I have some 60-44-18z, 60-44-18p, and 60-44-18c. Is there much of a difference between them? I'm sure there's gotta be, otherwise why would they make them? I hear zinc is the coolest burning, which makes me think the paper and cotton would burn hotter. Am I right? Any thoughts?

That's a great idea! I already started burning it, but I'm sure I can pull the wick out (I use wick pins) and give that a try... might do that this weekend. Thanks!!!

If you get it from the butcher, it'll probably need to be cleaned and rendered. Not sure what all that involves, but I hear it's not fun! I'm in the south, so I get mine at the wal mart in buckets!

Hi there! I have a question that I'm sure is stupid. I love using oxides, ultramarines, and micas to color. I've read that you mix oxides with oil and ultramarines with water. What do you mix micas with? Either? :tiptoe: thanks for any ideas!

LOL Louise! Texas Brat, neither of the batches went into the fridge, I had the white one on a wire rack and was hoping it wouldn't gel through the tops, and it didn't! Most of the rest of it did though. Learning experience.. next time might use a fan, see what it will do. Thanks everyone!!! Yes, it's a blast!
