  1. Did you use the same recipe as the other 7? Everything the same? I'd let it sit for a while (like a couple of weeks) and let it cure.
  2. Thanks everyone!!! Louise, one day I may try it with silk! The second one is colored with a bit of red mica drops, but it looks a little more orange.. just like a batch I made yesterday LOL Oh well... I remembered the FO, it's Coconut Hibiscus! The white one gelled most of the way, but left my cool peaks alone! Woohoo! I didn't do anything to stop or encourage gel, so it was kind of an experiment. Here they are cut!!
  3. I like non, but I have to bevel mine or hubby won't use them. Cool stamp!!!
  4. Just got done playing in this one, it's GM scented White Tea & Ginger! This one separated on me, was using 100% coconut milk. Had to rotate stick blenders to keep one from overheating, but I finally got it to trace. Partial gel. Tried to play with the top, but got bored waiting for it to thicken up... This batch has a lot of OO. Wish like hell I could remember what FO I used.... Thanks for looking!
  5. Love them! Love the colors, even though they didn't turn out as you would have wanted...
  6. Wow, looks like something you'd find in a fairy tale!
  7. Wow those are pretty wild! Wonder what color the lather is with the first one? Awesome colors!
  8. Thanks!! It seems to me to be so much easier just sticking them in the freezer for an hour or so to prevent gel than to cover them up and keep peeking to make sure it reaches the edges. My molds are plastic, so I might try to come up with a system to warm the bottom a bit, maybe that'll help it spread. I think the orange one tried to overheat, as it has a little of the alien brain thing going on. When I saw that, I removed the cover that I had on it and let it cool a little. One day I'll learn how to cut them uniform.. seems they're always different shapes!
  9. The orange soap here is gelled GM with Coppertone FO. I added a little orange mica, not sure how much of it is orange because of the mica and how much is orange cause of the GM! The second is Axe-Essence, with aloe juice. It gelled as well, and I used a little green mica for the swirl that you can't really see. It didn't want to gel all the way to the edges, but still turned out ok. Last is my first attempt at 100% coconut milk. No color, German Chocolate Cake FO, and gel. Not sure I really like the whole gel deal, the soap is so much creamier and solid-looking when it doesn't gel... I'll have to wait and see how they feel in the shower in a month or so to make my final decision though! Thanks for looking!
  10. Wow sounds like you're going to have fun experimenting! I've never seen powdered fruit extracts!
  11. Just a side note here, I noticed it's MUCH easier to use grams than ounces... if your scale measures in grams. Mine does fractions for ounces and I don't like to guess when it comes to weighing stuff!
  12. Thanks!!! Here's SJP Lovely as of today! I put it back together as best I could to try to see some of the swirls, but they're very faint. Oh well, still don't have a pretty swirl for this FO, but it's a nice chocolate color. Looks like brownies!
  13. Thanks!!! I just couldn't bear to ruin it, I had to let it live! And then try again lol
  14. Ok, here's the batch WITH the FO!
  15. I attempted to soap SJP's Lovely. Thought I had the perfect colors for it, some UM pink and purple, got everything all colored and poured into the pot. Looked over a little to the right and saw the FO sitting there. Damn! Didn't want to mix it in and mess up the colors, so this one is an unscented goat's milk CP. Once again, cut way too early and soft! the bottom (why is the top always too blurry to post?) and cut I made another batch... I poured the FO into the GM so I wouldn't forget it!! It's in the freezer... without the pink, just purple and cream.
  16. Thanks! I've got a little GM left, so not sure what colors I'm gonna go for tonite, but it'll sure be Love Spell again! LOL Scented, that's a rawhide!
  17. Thanks!!! Here's another Love Spell batch, I was going for pink, purple, and white... but I think the purple looks more grey instead. Bottom (didn't get a clear pic of the top) Cut... and my furbaby making sure all goes well, even though he hates the stinky stuff that goes on in this room!
  18. I'm REALLY diggin' the in the pot swirl thing! I love the way they turn out, and I LOVE the way Love Spell smells! Here's a GM batch I just cut, it's way too soft for that kind of thing but oh well! I can't stop myself sometimes... the bottom the top and cut! yay me!!!
  19. Hi I can't answer all your questions, but make sure you ALWAYS run your recipe through a calculator just to make sure. www.soapcalc.com is one. I've used condensed goat's milk in a crock pot and it worked out well, just add your lye to your water portion and stir until it's dissolved, then add the milk portion AFTER the lye solution has been added to the oils. I don't know about powdered, but I'd imagine it's something similar. Since it's going to get hot, it might smell like ammonia and/or turn orange, but the smell will fade! I don't know about crayon chips, but I used food coloring the first time and it was fine, just faded quickly. Don't know about EOs either... lots of help huh? You can use any recipe for CP or CPHP. Good luck!
  20. I personally wouldn't trust the results of a CP soap that wasn't sitting for a month. Just me though! Good luck!
  21. I haven't, but I love to use canned GM. I have to stick it in the deep freezer to avoid gel. It stays in there for a few hours. The first batch I did, I left it overnite and it was fine. A little cold, and you'll want to let it come to room temp before cutting, but it was awesome soap. It doesn't seem to accellerate to me, but I try to move quickly anyway.
  22. I cut it. All I have to say is LOL
