  1. I like Lonestar. They're much closer to me and their scents are just as good as anyone else's.
  2. I ran out of my usual wax, and it'll be a while before I can order another case, so I thought I'd try something new. I used 50% IGI 1274 and 50% 4625. I was totally not expecting a mottle, thought for sure the 4625 would kill it. I used Coffee Cake & Spice FO, and accidentally grabbed the purple instead of the red, so it's not quite right! Anyway, here they be...
  3. Did it turn brown? I had a pretty white and purple swirl, but it's lost in a fudge brownie kinda way!
  4. Got mine filled out. Thanks Scented!
  5. I convert my recipes to grams. More accurate that way, especially in the small batches that I make.
  6. Have you tried Felicia's Fragrance Finder? http://www.fragranceoilfinder.com
  7. Good! I made another batch today! In slab form though, haven't gotten around to hp'ing it yet but I have more beer in the fridge lol
  8. I've had those, and I have a theory about it being loose FO crystals or something like that
  9. You have some serious talent there, I must say!
  10. From what I've read, the sugars in the beer are suppossed to do wonderful things for the suds. I might have to HP a batch to see for sure, I'm a chicken when it comes to trying out CP before a cure LOL
  11. Hey there, thought I'd show off more pillars. I really dig these, they unmold very quickly! Just mere hours after pouring, they're out of the mold. The orange/red were JS Vot, scented Creme de la Creme (OMG YUM!) and the purples are 4625 scented Clean Cotton. Now I get to test burn them! Woohoo! Took 2 pics to show the other sides... forgive the 2nd pour lines! Thanks for looking!
  12. Yup, 100% beer, no water. Here they are out of the mold. I've read that they're supposed to have a light, nutty scent, so I didn't use any FO. I just did it last nite, so I'll update this weekend how they smell.
  13. Seriously stunning!
  14. I've read about beer soap, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I got some local stuff, Abita Amber, poured it into a glass, and let it sit in the fridge for I guess it's been 3 days. Then went outside in the grass expecting volcanos and fumes and all manner of scary things, but it behaved really well when I mixed the lye into it. Only thing was that it got a little applesaucey when I poured. And I got one of those silicone cupcake pans recently, figured I'd give it a try, and my recipe happens to be about the perfect amount for it. Anyway, here they are resting, I'm hoping they keep this nice light color.
  15. Thanks! Now I need to make some with a wax that burns a little better!
  16. I love zinc wicks, although I'm not very good at candles! I've noticed that same thing, you can move it over a smidge and it stays, gotta love that!
  17. I just did different colors, same scent. Good luck!
  18. Thanks! Just fill the mold with ice, pour one color, dump the water out and make sure it's completely dry, then pour a second color. Got the idea from Candybee!!!
  19. I'm so excited, these are so cool!!!
  20. Oh, I'm so going to try this out! I LOVE LOVE LOVE paint horses, so this is perfect! Thanks! It's beautiful!
