  1. Attempted to soap some Pink Carnation and I believe I have experienced the soap on a stick phenomenon. I have only read about it, but never thought it would happen to moi. Ha! The soap fairies laughed... Anyway, wow it was kinda crazy! Tried to do a black and red and white swirl, using the same recipe I've been using for the last few weeks. Only thing different was that I put the FO in before the GM so I didn't forget it. I was able to use the colors, but it was more like mushing around mashed potatos and I'm not sure it's gonna come out any good at all! It got pretty warm as well, so I'm sure it's going to gel. Darnit! Hope the freezer can kill that quick. Here it is, wonder if it'll still have to cure for a month? lol
  2. Hello everyone. This one was in the freezer for about 2 hours, then couldn't stand it anymore... had to cut!
  3. Probably shouldn't have cut them so soon, but I couldn't wait... Here's the first one, ugly as hell... oh well LOL But this one totally makes up for the first ugliness! Holy crap this one turned out awesome!
  4. Hello there. I did 2 batches today, GM CP. First one is kinda ugh.. scented Hawaiian Breeze. Was trying for a green and yellow and white, but not looking like I was successful LOL And here's Love Spell, also GM CP. This one was an in the pot kinda deal, so we'll see what the other side looks like! I can't wait! Might turn out to be a Mardi Gras type of thing! This one's currently sitting in the freezer! I really need to learn how to do the tops...
  5. If you added FO to these batches, the heating process may burn some of it off. Something to sniff for... ?
  6. Here goes! Here they all are all chopped up... Coconut Hibiscus close up... I think this one turned out the best. Got a gel though, darnit... we'll see how they end up in a few weeks! Lilac cut, they refused to take a good pic. They're pretty funky, they got a good gel too... And the Chestnuts & Brown Sugar. This one still looks good! Hope the brown doesn't bleed, but I'm a little disappointed that the white didn't show up a little more under the surface..
  7. Tea, I have a white and blue GM (goat's milk) soap that's about 3 months old and still white and blue! lisajo, yup they're all GM soapies, I used the concentrated milk in the can and wanted to get rid of it before I forgot and let it spoil lol Michi, you GOTTA try it, it's so creamy! Thanks again everyone! Don't worry, I'm gonna post cut pics!
  8. Thanks!! Sorry, didn't mention what the first was scented! It's Coconut Hibiscus... Cranked out 2 more batches tonite, think I'm soaped out for now lol. The second looks like it's gonna be fugly, not sure what I was thinking. Red and blue swirls kinda melted together, gm as well ... it's scented Lilac. Third one of the evening looks much better! GM again, cocoa powder for the brown, titanium dioxide for the white, and the brown portion is scented Chestnuts & Brown Sugar. They're all sitting in the freezer, hopefully they'll still look nice tomorrow!
  9. Yes they are! I ended up giving away all but one bar, and since I finally decided to try it (at about 3 months of age) it's become my favorite soap I've made yet. I don't wanna wait 6 weeks to use this though, I'm almost out of that one bar! Wish I hadn't given so much of it away lol
  10. I usually do HP, but my last GM CP was da friggin BOMB!!! Here's my lowly second attempt at a CP swirl. Here we have a goat's milk soap with a red swirl. Hopefully it turns out... forvige the meat behind it, it's in the freezer right now. Last time I did a GM soap, it gelled just a touch while in the freezer. Kept its creamy white though... hopefully this yellow turns back to white! I know mine doesn't even compare to some of the beautiful soap on this forum, but thought I'd throw a little pic in to contribute! Thanks for looking!
  11. Thanks! The orange ones are dark brown now... they look like fudge brownies!
  12. I love my CPHP. Just remember to slam them mold a LOT to get the air bubbles out. That'll make it nice and smoooooooooth where it's touching the mold! (or liner lol)
  13. Here they are after sitting for a few hours. The white/blue one looks good, the blue has darkened, but the orange one looks way funky cause of the gel. The bottom 5 were hp.
  14. Thanks! Got 'em cut. Not very impressed... they're ok, but real crumbly. Maybe I waited too long to cut them, but geez, just woke up! The orange one started to gel. Oh well, think I'll give it another shot to see if the creamy white was a fluke or if I can repeat it. Then I'll figure out how to HP it and keep it white!
  15. Here's that CPHP batch, scented Caramel Sugar Crunch. It looks like it turned out good! It's actually a little lighter than the pic. Woohoo!
  16. That's beautiful! I tried coffee once and got rice..
  17. Your talent is just incredible!
  18. The first batch kinda turned orange, second batch stayed nice and creamy! The color I tried to swirl didn't really come out very well, but that's ok. They're both in the freezer, hopefully I'll be able to avoid gel. I kept getting riced batches CPHP, so decided to try RTCP. Guess the first one was still too warm. Got my fingers crossed! The swirly one is scented Love Spell, and the orange one is Orange Caramel Crumble. I did manage to get a CPHP batch tonite, I'll add a pic when I cut. It's dark brown! Thanks for looking, and forgive the ugly liners!
  19. Hi there, just did an experiment. I made up 2 batches of soap, same ingredients and percentages except one was lard and one was crisco. I used one bar on one side of my body, and the other on the other side. Honestly, I can't tell any difference. Splitting hairs, I might be tempted to say the veggie was slightly creamier, but even then I am not too sure. The skin on both sides of my body feel exactly the same. No dryness or greasiness anywhere. Anyway, do any of you notice a difference? How did you choose between the two for your base recipe? Or do you use a few different bases?
