  1. It all depends on what you're going for, you just gotta try it out & see if that's what you want. Like the others have said, there are advantages & disadvantages. Cajun Candles is located in Kaplan, LA, which looks to be about 2 hours away from you. Some people choose a wax that is closer to them because of those outrageous shipping charges. If they have a wax that would work for you, maybe you could pick up a couple cases at a time to save a lot of money from shipping. Just a thought.
  2. Calwax 1 case - 55 lbs. $1.51 pp San Diego, CA 4794 1 case - 60 lbs. $1.31 pp San Diego, CA 1343A 1 case - 60 lbs. $1.28 pp San Diego, CA
  3. I think it would be much easier to just do one. Couldn't the special order be a different section? Or maybe a pamphlet type stuck inside the brochure?
  4. I think using gurl screams teenager (no offense). If a product had girl in the name, I probably wouldn't buy it. My mom bought me some lotion & spray 2 Christmas' ago, it smelled okay, but I wouldn't use it because of the girl. I know I'm still young, but that just makes me feel younger.
  5. Fruit Slices, Clean Cotton, Ocean, Sweet Pea, Lemon Pound Cake
  6. I'm not too sure about the do's & don'ts since I went with a company that was recommended to me and it's worked out great so far. I'm with Wahmshoppes - I got my domain through them, and pay them $7 a month to host. They have free templates to use, but it wasn't the look I was going for. I purchased a webset through the internet and put it together in Frontpage. I use mals shopping cart, and also pay for their premium service which is $8 a month which allowed me to use rates directly from USPS & UPS or have more zones with more shipping options. To process credit cards, I use propay. When I was looking for all this information too, I was overwhelmed with everything. I just did research and compared what all these companies were offering & how much it cost. Hope this helps somewhat.
  7. I don't think you should be upset because it's free, sorry :undecided .
  8. hmmm...what about... a type of Rain Mountain Lake an Ocean, but less salty than Peak's Grass a light floral
  9. I use wick stickums and don't have any problems. When I used glue, they did unstick sometimes.
  10. I think it looks good, especially with the colored labels.
  11. I would also be in. I just use the long lighters made by Scripto, I get them at Wal-Mart. They also have a candle lighter, that bends in half, but I didn't find that necessary, and they cost a little bit more than just the regular lighters.
  12. I haven't used these FO's, so I can't tell you what I use. But what came to mind is a light brown/tan for the Teakwood & any shade of purple or darker blue for Magic of India.
  13. I haven't tried Bittercreek's Blueberry Muffin, so I can't compare them, but I love Peak's. Their Gardenia & Honeysuckle are awesome too - I think they're dead on. Can't help you with the canteloupe though.
  14. Blueberry Muffin Cinnamon Buns Clean Cotton Juniper Breeze Lavender Lemon Pound Cake Ocean Rose Sweet Pea
  15. Coconut - haven't poured, but I use it for air fresheners and it's the best coconut I've sniffed, IMO Cranberry Marmalade - awesome! Great throw, I love it. Unique scent. Fresh Coffee - haven't poured, OOB is nice Green Tea & Lemongrass - Very nice, but extremely light Lavender Cucumber Sage - haven't poured, OOB it's okay...don't know if I would like it though Mimosa & Mandarin - Nice throw, interesting scent Mistletoe - haven't poured, OOB is alright - I think I would use a different mistletoe though Mocha Cafe - haven't poured, OOB is excellent Pearberry - Good throw, just don't know about pearberry in general Pumpkin Bread - I love it!! I've e-mailed them & they said that Pumpkin Bread is spicier than the Pie, but I think the opposite Pumpkin Pie - Another good one, but between the two, I like the Pumpkin Bread Red Clover Tea - haven't poured, OOB is nice Vanilla - haven't poured. I was on the search for vanillas, but I think this one was very sweet. Like vanilla frosting if I remember correctly. I haven't tried these in soy so I don't know how well they would do. I use their TL wicks for my tealights and they are wonderful. I think they have great FO's - if I would have found them before I started ordering from other suppliers, they would probably be one of my top ones. Their customer service is excellent and are willing to help. Shipping is very reasonable, and I am all the way across the country from them.
  16. The Levine burners with the bulb are 25 watts, the heating plate are 20 watts. You said the bulbs don't melt it all the way - does the 20 watt heating plate melt it better?
  17. Another thing I just realized because I tried to do it right now is that click-n-ship doesn't offer first-class shipping yet.
  18. I don't do lotions or scrubs, but I think this would be the same concept http://www.candlecauldron.com/selling.html (sorry I'm in a rush...just wanted to post this for now though)
