  1. I think they're handled basically the same, but Paypal already has most of the information already there, so it makes it quicker. But, like Monica said, if the person you're shipping to didn't send you a payment through paypal, you cannot use paypal and have to use click-n-ship.
  2. I bought a webset and it had all of the files included in the webset. If I remember correctly, I inserted the page into Frontpage. In Frontpage, I could delete or add anything I wanted. That part was okay...nothing too too hard. But I did have a head start because I took a Frontpage course and I had a little background on it already. It really helped when I wanted to set up a form on my site. I added the shopping cart - I use mals. It was a bit difficult for me at first and had to look at other people's websites to figure it out. If you've already designed a website from scratch and used mals, I don't think you should have any problems.
  3. I use the 10 & 16 oz. elevation jars from Fairway. Las Vegas is the nearest warehouse for shipping.
  4. That sucks, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I've ordered from them and didn't have any problems.
  5. I'm just messing will pillars right now, but I chose 1343 due to it being so versatile with the type(s) of additives you put in it. For votives I use 4794.
  6. Like Rebecca said, there's a lot of variables. My policy is about $1,500 a year - but I live in a sue happy state.
  7. I agree, but she mentioned the business cards - "I was swamped with inquiries and requests for a business card," after this happened, she's posting trying to figure out a business name. It's not said, but to me, it was kinda implied that that was the reason for trying to think of a name.
  8. Here's a nice thread http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4065&page=3&highlight=poly+cons I ordered the poly cons from http://getorganizedcandles.com/en-us/dept_38.html#item_159. They are plastic hinged containers and a tealight can fit inside. This company just takes a while to ship the darn thing out!
  9. I'm not trying to be mean or anything....but I think you're moving a little too fast. If you just started making candles a couple weeks ago, I wouldn't rush trying to get business cards made. I know it can be very overwhelming, but it can be dangerous and should take a little time to get it all right. This is just my opinion...
  10. I like it. When I googled, there are at least 2 other Country Blessings candles: http://www.countryblessingscandles.com/ http://www.mycountryblessings.com/store/Default.asp So this may be an issue with customers as it, IMO, would cause some confusion.
  11. I agree with the 1st one. You could tell right away what it was. The 2nd one is a little busier, and harder to make out what it says.
  12. The Clear Gloss Vinyl labels from Planet Label are crystal clear. I ordered a sample of these, tried it out & they were great. I have an inkjet and it dried instantly. I'm reluctant in actually ordering these because I had these for a couple months just sitting there on my desk. I actually checked these out yesterday, and the edges of the labels and the entire sheet are starting to come up. It hasn't been really hot in the room so I'm not sure why they do that. I can't print on these anymore because they don't flatten back out. I'm wondering if that would eventually happen to the candle once it is placed on there. Maybe somebody knows the answer? Any labels I've seen at an office supply are frosted.
  13. Yes you do http://www.fda.gov/opacom/laws/fplact.htm
  14. Cool! I've been waiting for these. Are you going to be selling the WCT directly?
  15. Does the company pay you as they place the order, or do you bill them either weekly or monthly? Is there a contract for this type?
  16. Does anybody do this? How do you work this out? I have somebody who is inquiring on drop shipping, but I don't know what to say. My thought is that it would be an extra service, and an additional fee would be involved. What do you guys think about this? Thanks for the help!
  17. I would probably choose NG because of their selection. I LOVE Peak's, but NG just has more to choose from.
  18. I think 4794 by itself is fine for tarts. I would get a ripple effect using this wax by itself, but I wasn't going to do a repour on these things, so I left it. Because of that, I wouldn't say it has a smooth finish. What I found best, is mixing 4794 with a container wax - it gives me an awesome throw, and great, smooth finish.
  19. For me personally, if I put a white label on top, it'd have to be a silver lid. If you wanted to put it on the side, I think some Avery address labels would fit perfectly....and they should have them at Wal-Mart.
  20. Hmmm...favorite or most used jar? Well I use the apothecary....I like it, but it's not my favorite.
  21. I haven't tried joywax, but if the wax is too soft for tarts, try adding some votive or pillar wax to it. My tarts are a container & votive blend.
  22. I'm not sure about the odd smell you're talking about, but I think Peak's Honeysuckle is dead on.
  23. Do you melt the shea to a liquid? Can you melt it in the microwave or do you have to use a double boiler? When do you add the oils or other ingredients? When it's liquid or it starts to firm up? When do you start to whip and for how long? Sorry for the dumb questions. I try to search the board & google to see if I can come up with an answer before asking, but I can't find any info on this at all. Thanks for the help!
