  1. I use TL-15 wicks. They make big mushrooms though, but I like them.
  2. I don't have a fear of success, but I couldn't handle it right now. I have a full-time job, take a class or 2 here & there, and am dealing with everyday life issues (like everyone) & have health problems. I know I wouldn't be able to handle too many orders, which is why I'm not really trying to go get business. Once I start to get healthier & deal with some issues, I'll be trying to be successful...but for now, I'm just chillen .
  3. I have the same problem with vanilla....I would guess it'd be the same with the sugar cookie. With my normal amounts, it wasn't absorbing at all. It sat there for about 3 weeks, and I added a little bit more beads here & there but still a lot of liquid. I tried dividing the beads in the jar in half, and using 2 jars instead of 1 & more beads and it finally absorbed.
  4. It would show when you're viewing the product, like this: Seamless Aluminum Pouring Pitcher: 4 lb Code: ACC-MeltPot4lb Price: $0.00 We are now temporarily SOLD OUT of 'Seamless Aluminum Pouring Pitcher: 4 lb'. Quantity in Basket: none If you were to click on it, you shouldn't be allowed to add it to the basket, because the button wouldn't be there. Looks like the bears are back then.
  5. Peak's has them http://www.peakcandle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PCMS&Product_Code=ACC-Bear7.5&Category_Code=ACC, 12 for $40 ($3.33 each)
  6. Like these http://www.sunshinecontainer.com/candles.htm http://www.sunshinecontainer.com/tealite.htm
  7. Can't help on those exact molds....I've only seen those sold as a set also. Sorry if this is a dumb suggestion, but you can use this for heart tarts (they're not fluted though) - http://secure.candlesupply.com/catalog_page_Quick_Pick.cfm?queries_index=index8&ProductCodeID=41&ProductSubCodeID=155&NewProduct=0
  8. I like mine strong and make 'em strong, but not run you out of the house strong. On really strong FO's, I will decrease the amount I add...for instance, instead of the usual 1 oz., I might add only .5 or .6 oz. depending on the FO.
  9. I don't really have a set time....I wait till they're cool, and try popping them out. If they don't want to come out, I'll put them in the fridge for about 10 minutes. If they're ready, they'll pop out, if not, I'll let them sit for probably a half hour to an hour & try again.
  10. Peak Nature's Garden Just Scent I also have a few from: Candle Science, BCN & Alabaster
  11. This is what I was thinking, I just didn't know if that would be allowed. This would be my 1st year filing taxes as a business (don't have many sales though), and I guess I just don't really know what's expected. Somebody told me that the name should be on there, but I thought the same as you guys, that it would be odd asking their name at a show. I was just gonna keep a running list of everything sold, and figure costs up once it's over, then just do a receipt from the whole show. Hopefully that'll be acceptable. Thanks for your help!
  12. Somebody told me that a receipt must show: Date of purchase What was purchased To whom it was soldIs this correct? Do you get the full name of the person you sold it to? I have a generic receipt book, I think it's a money/rent receipt which I believe has fields for date, item, cost, signature, but not too much else. Does anybody else use this? If a receipt needs all the above information, where do you fit it all into? Wouldn't you need a seperate line for each type of item (container, pillar, votive, etc)? And would you just cross off (I think) grand total & put tax owed instead? How does everybody do it to be able to keep a copy with all the correct info on it? Thanks for your help!
  13. Don't get me wrong, I love Peak's also! They are one of my main suppliers.
  14. They've been talked about before, here's a couple threads http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10433&highlight=candlescience http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10490&highlight=candlescience I love them. Their FO's are great, they have good prices & have excellent customer service. They just don't have a huge variety of scents yet. Their shipping prices is very reasonable also.
  15. I shrink wrap mine with an impulse sealer. It's such a PITA though, but think they look nice.
  16. For me, I charge 2x for wholesale, 3x for retail. Just my opinion, but I think $1 would be a bit much, for that large of an order & a steady one you'll be getting each month, especially since they'll be supplying the container, which I think would be the greatest cost if you had to supply them yourself.
  17. It took me a lot of playing around & test prints to get it to print inside the circle. I wasted a lot of labels. I just kept messing with it. Have you tried a smaller font?
  18. No, it doesn't actually track the package. It's more just like a delivery confirmation IMO. Sometimes when you actually drop the package off at the post office, and the employee scans it, it will show something like "accepted in San Diego on 11/22/06", (or something like that), then won't show up again until it gets delivered to it's destination.
  19. I've only tried Peak's Asian Sandalwood. I don't know what a regular sandalwood is supposed to smell like. How is Peak's sandalwood vs other suppliers? Does the Asian part of it change it much? Thanks.
  20. Can't think of many suppliers right now, but a lot have FO's listed as coconut, but they smell like suntan lotion. NG's description says theirs smells like it. Also Pina Colada & BCN's Hawaiian Paradise says it's pineapple-y.
  21. How long are you letting them cool for? It doesn't seem like you're leaving them long enough. They will come out when they are ready...don't force it - you gotta be patient.
  22. That's around what many people use. I think those sizes would be perfect.
  23. I mix brown with yellow. It just kinda lightens the brown up some...
  24. I love Candlescience! I use their FO's, wicks, dyes - I'm on the opposite coast, and they are VERY reasonable on shipping.
  25. Victoria's Secret Heavenly Ralph Lauren Romance
