  1. I didn't notice that. But yes, they should be burned in a tight fitting holder.
  2. I wick them after. When I tried wicking them before putting them in the oven, the wax would melt off the wick and they would get extremely limp, which didn't help at all.
  3. It sounds like you poured too far. You should pour just a tiny bit above your 1st pour, if you pour a lot more you're gonna be able to see it. If you haven't read through it already, here's a great tutorial http://www.candletech.com/votives/.
  4. Is the top lighter or did you pour further than your first pour?
  5. Lonestar is in TX & I believe they still have a couple plain paraffin waxes.
  6. I normally wait until about a day before I light it up.
  7. I use Wahmshoppes. I wanted something other than their templates, so I built my page in Frontpage. I am really happy with them though - haven't had any problems so far.
  8. Before I vote, how much is the silver vs the black or white?
  9. I personally like the Coconut from Candlescience. I just went there & their description reads "A buttery rum top note leading to a sweet creamy vanilla with toasted coconut." I don't really smell the buttery vanilla though...I just smell coconut.
  10. I was having the same problem when I was using red chips. I tried melting it directly, adding wax & melting, but nothing worked. That made me switch over to liquid dye.
  11. Well, they do have polypro bags http://www.gtbag.com/polyprozip.html, just not the 2x4 size you wanted. I was looking at Uline & Veripack, but the smallest around that size would be 3x4 I believe.
  12. I live in So. Cal also, but shipping for wax is about the same to ship from Colorado and Seattle. I haven't tried Genwax so I couldn't tell you about them.
  13. Ahhhh, gotcha. Too bad I'm not using 4630 anymore. I'd probably like the new one better, if it had the same throw of course.
  14. I know that BizzyBs here on the board does banners http://www.studiobeckdesign.com/, and prairieannie http://www.geekoasis.com/sales/ does websites, you might want to contact her also. Good luck.
  15. You should wait a bit longer, a half hour isn't long enough to say that people aren't able to help you. The 50 something that's looked at the post might not use this wax. Just hold on a bit .
  16. I use craftlister and also http://festivalnet.com/events.html?fn00057
  17. They only sell up to 8 oz. - don't know if that'll work for you http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=39 http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin7c.html
  18. Don't know about that particular one, but I get e-mails like that and have never purchased anything on that account. If you don't remember it, it's probably fraud.
  19. I would recommend: Blueberry Muffin Clean Cotton Fruit Slices Georgia Peach Juniper Breeze Lavender Lemon Pound Cake Ocean Pink Sugar Sweet Pea
  20. The 6006 didn't throw well for me either. The 4786 was better, but still not to my liking.
  21. I use the same as in my candles - no more than 1 oz. pp....sometimes less.
  22. I didn't go to the paypal site, I'm just going off memory here, but correct me if I'm wrong. To be able to input the customer information yourself, you'd have to have their virtual terminal account, which is $20/month. Regardless, there is always a fee associated with paypal when doing any transaction with a merchant account.
