  1. www.northstar3c.com Has a scent called Holiday Lites that is dead on Christmas tree. So much that it was overwhelming !
  2. When my supplier ran out of a fragrance that I had been using forever, I called her and not only did she match the price that I was getting for the oil, but she also provided me with a 25lb container (most suppliers won't do that) She was very helpful, a joy to work with and the scent that I received from her was top notch in CP soap, soy candles, sorbet, frosting and bathbombs.
  3. If you're doing candles - BCN's pinepple cilantro Can't even smell the cilantro. If you're doing a B&B product, you can detect a little of the cilantro in there, but not too bad. One of my wholesale clients get this in their bathbombs & it is wonderful!
  4. I am not sure what kind of scent it is, but when I am stumped, I always go to the fragrance finder: http://www.geocities.com/lwoollen_25/FragranceFinder I know they have some good dupes listed on there & this is the best site to bookmark if you ever need any fragrances at all.
  5. Had to split em - please choose 5 more.
  6. I feel like I have "sold out" though... I know that there is tons of "types" on there, but if I can beat them, I may as well join them. Please choose your favorite 10 & thanks for helping me make up my mind! *I have to make two polls because we can only have 10 choices*
  7. Ok I just went and placed an order with NG for my samples. I am going to do a poll to help me get a better understanding what really moves with you guys. I wish I could be more of a help to myself, but I only use one kind of scent (Skin Musk) & I have worn it since junior high :rolleyes2 Look for the poll

I did a year long test picking out spring, summer, fall and winter months as a guide and these just aren't moving at all. I can't say that I am depressed too much as I hate some of these anyway :tiptoe: I am going to be keeping them on hand because I do sell bathbombs in those scents wholesale, so my customers will still be able to get them in bathbomb form. I have been looking at these scents - what do you think? These are all from NG as I want to make her my official supplier (she is close) Blackberry Sage Fantasy Fresh Pear Pink Oatmeal, Milk and Honey Ginger Love Spell Secret Crush Angel Flirtation Lemon Sugar Oceans Pleasures I know most of them are dupes, but do you see something that I definitely should have? I think I am just going to order samples and go from there.
  9. They just aren't selling anymore & although I am looking forward to doing it, I am at a loss what to replace them with. I am posting on several boards to get some ideas what is popular now as well as doing some R&D at the BBW, TBS and VS. What is your favorite scent right now?
  10. I have my stuff at my Curves and once a month we do a home party type thing - kinda like a craft show one night a month. Brings in a pretty penny and the ladies love that if they run out they can get stuff right there & they don't have to go to the next town over or order on the internet for refills. I highly recommend doing it - especially if she will let you put it in there for free. Bring samples for them to try - it's the best way to sell it.
  11. Ok, now this is the best of my knowledge as I have given things out to my nieces already :tiptoe: Shea moi sample, pin and business cards Spices for chicken, recipe included Reindeer Poop Italian bracelet, catalog Eye cream, face cream and another cream, business card Acorn/leaf pin Rose water cream Magazine Pen & Pencil Ring, business card Microwave recipe book Coupons, post card w/ coupon Votive I think that is it - what did you get?
  12. Now are all the boxes different? I didn't get a keychain lol
  13. I always do some cheap, but good dips and stuff. Here are some of my recipes - feel free to try! Guacamole: 4 Haas avocados mashed 2 Roma tomatoes diced ¼ cup cilantro minced Bunch green onions diced ½ lemon squeezed 2 packets guacamole seasoning Mix well, cover with plastic to the actual dip (don't leave any air) and refridgerate for an hour Salsa: 8 Roma tomatoes diced 1 bunch green onion diced ½ red onion diced ½ cup cilantro 1 lemon squeezed 2 packets salsa seasoning Mix well, cover & refridgerate overnite (gives time for more juice) My favorite cracker spread! 2 boxes cream cheese softened at room temp ½ cup sour cream 1 packet of Buddig beef diced 1 bunch green onions diced Sprinkle garlic salt to taste *This one looks Christmasy because of the red and green!*
  14. I just got my box today and I am floored. I will DEFINITELY be entering my stuff in this box next month - maybe for the rest of the year!! It was well worth the $9.00 I spent & I can't wait to get my box next month! There were all kinds of samples of cremes, lots of business cards and brochures, a couple little pins (that were very cute), but the best part of the whole box was a FREE italian charm bracelet!! There were no charms on it of course, but there was a great catalog along with it. My niece was here today and has been wanting one forever, so I gave it to her. It has inspired her to help out more around the house to earn money for her charms!! :yay: I recommend this, but can't find the site - maybe Rachel will come on here and give it again. Thanks Rachel and by the way, your chocolate shea moi was very YUMMAH!! :yay:
  15. Hey! I got those containers too!! Last year we got such a good haul from the Dollar General, I bought extras and I'm glad I did too! For the color of our hot cocoa, we use little bit brown and a touch of red - it ends up being nice and creamy. To top it off, we mix melted wax that is almost set up with our flakes and put a dash on top like marshmellows. They fly out the door and people know what they are as soon as they pick them up too. We get our hot cocoa from NG and it is just DREAMY!!
  16. Don't forget your regular supplier of FO's too. Alot of them can get huge quantities and pass them onto you too. I have a supplier that does just this and doesn't put any extra money in her pocket either, she just wants to help.
  17. www.nashvillewraps.com has a page where you can personalize and check out how much it will be before you buy. The last time I looked, it was pretty reasonable for plain white plastic bags, one color for the logo and wording.
  18. My business is my full time job, but my MIL works with me and she does all the pouring. We melt 25lbs of soy three times a week and pour from Pyrex containers that fit about 6 candles in each one. It is time consuming, but I have found I can keep a handle on them that way. Any bigger batches make mistakes for me for some reason, so I keep them small. Needless to say we have about 20 Pyrex containers and must time them perfectly or we have to pour a ton at one time lol
  19. I used to buy FO's constantly all the time - whenever I felt like getting a new one, I would order some...:tiptoe: Not good for business at all!! I made myself decide on the specific scents I would have and I now buy gallons of that particular scent instead of getting a pound here and a pound there. If I really think that I need a scent that is new, I first get a sample (I actually ask the supplier if they can send me one for free to try), then I go from there. If this scent is great and better than one of the scents I currently carry, I substitute the new scent for the old one. Example - I recently discontinued my gardenia, rose and raspberry/peppermint for a grapefruit/peppermint/strawberry blend, sweet rain and kiwi/banana blend.
  20. www.ikea.com I get all of my displays here. They just opened one an hour away from me and I have to practically tie myself down to contain myself each week not to go and spend all the money I have there.
  21. Girly Girl (SOS Pink Sugar) Get Fresh (NG Cucumber Melon) Vanilla Sugar (Bear Warm Vanilla Sugar) Sweet Pea (Bear Sweet Pea) Peach Fuzz (Bear Peach)
  22. We pour candles 3 times a week about 5 hours each of those days. It is usually because we have orders for them, but sometimes we also make backup stock.
  23. Hey Rockin - got an update for us? I bet he is sleeping lol That is what I do after a marathon show!! 12 hours of sleep sleep and more sleep! Hope you did GREAT!!
  24. I have tried these before too and it is like throwing bread into your bath. It doesn't seem to dissolve and just floats around.
  25. I've used a couple of different wicks and this is what I found: paraffin coated wicks - no smoke when first lit beeswax coated wicks - lots of smoke when first lit no coated wicks - little bit of smoke, but burns down fast to the wax so you can't really notice it These are the only three I have ever used and I hope it helps you.
