  1. The following embeds for candles: APPLES CARROTS FROSTING BANANAS PECANS ROLLS or RAISINS LEMONS PUMPKINS CINNAMON STICKS STRAWBERRIES MARSHMELLOWS PIECES OF NUTS I have been looking around and although I have found some sites, I would rather throw some business this way to people that I know (well, kinda know on the internet - as well as you can know someone on the internet lol!)
  2. Sure, I get them from Uline.com and here is a picture of what they look like:
  3. They would be too far from me, but I have been looking at the small squatty mason jars with rusted lids for awhile. Those are really cute - anyone have a midwestern source for those?
  4. I have been thinking and thinking about pouring special bakery scents in country style jars lately to carry in my shop. Although my shop is very hip and colorful, I still have alot of the country clientele and seem to be losing them when I know I could get them. I saw a jar the other day that I did like that was a mason style jar, but it was too big and looked kinda awkward. I guess I want a nice country style look, but want something that is totally different from what I have now. I actually have enough room in my shop to make a whole corner a country thing and may just do that too. Any suggestions or pictures I can look at? I would like to try and get them locally if possible (I am in LaSalle, Illinois). I would like to stay away from the canning jars if possible - everyone has those and I am looking for something a little different. Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it. :highfive:
  5. I am going back one year and offering some specials to my customers that ordered big this time of year & I am trying to think of some ideas that may entice them. Feel like brainstorming some ideas with me? I know that these are out since wholesale is so much cheaper than retail: free shipping buy one get one free
  6. At home, where I make the wholesale and back up bathbombs, I use the 30 pack egg crate that gets wrapped in plastic wrap and set on the shelf for storage. Whatever doesn't fit in the 30, goes into these boxes. Now for the store, we just put them in little washtubs (www.buhiimports.com/wholesale) and have a table with 4 pack and 6 pack clear egg crates that customers can fill themselves. Prepackage never seems to sell for me. I honestly don't believe I've ever sold ONE of them prepackaged - everyone likes to fill their own.
  7. We may not use that word, but you wouldn't believe the customers that do. I wouldn't be too concerned - they are really toiletries after all
  8. I went to the dollar general and bought 30 shoe boxes that close nice and air tight. When I have some leftover that won't fit in the egg crates, I throw them in there with a fo soaked cotton ball (of that particular fo scent) Make sure they are completely dry before you put them in there though (like 5 days dry if you can), otherwise you will open up to smoosh.
  9. Nope, no luck anywhere The 12oz I need are the shorter low profile and nothing else will do. My labels are fit exactly for that jar. WAH!! Maybe they will come in early - I can only hope... Thanks so much for helping me you guys, I really appreciate it!
  10. Marketing LUSH are GODS when it comes to marketing.
  11. Those have the gold lids. I just need the black lids - maybe I can find a seller that has the black lids and then get the jars from another place? Thanks for trying bunny!
  12. I have been sitting on a case of these for awhile, but after reading all of these posts, I may reconsider my options. What is the Jar Store's web addy and where are they? Thanks for posting this!! I bet it has really saved alot of us from upset customers.
  13. Thank you Bunny for the shout out What are the ingredients in your bathbombs Bev? I ask because I also wholesale other bathbombs that have botanicals and additives I don't normally use as well. No one has to know that you didn't make them either All of my accounts have everyone believing they slave night and day making their bombs, why shouldn't you? I sent you a pm where I get all of my ingredients and I hope that helps you some, but if you need anything else, drop me a line. I would love to help. PS - My turnaround time would be 3 weeks tops.
  14. I completely agree!! LUSH is overrated and all of their stuff smells like horse shampoo to me *LOL* Hey Lindsay, do you sell them on your site? What is your site? I have some $$$ and I wanna come and spend!!
  15. I am looking for 12oz CLEAR PET jars w/ black lid and for some reason I can't find them anywhere!! My supplier is out until 5/4 and we have orders that need to be filled and can't wait that long. If you or someone you know has these jars, can you please email me at KristinesShower@aol.com? I could really use 100 of them like yesterday. I have not really gone with any other company than Freund for years and years and years and the three places I tried don't have them at all (container and packaging, WSP and SKS - no wait, SKS has the containers, but no lids lol) Thanks for the help you guys!! PS - They've got to be 12oz PET CLEAR jars - I'm afraid I won't be able to use anything else.
  16. I get 'em every day - sometimes more than once a day! Actually, I am sitting here looking at 4 postal money orders that are $850.00 each for my company. He wants to place an order and then have me cash them and send him not only the change, but the order too *LOL* I got all the emails together, I have the postal money orders and I called the cops today. They are taking care of it *heh* Cop was also telling me about this guy that was trying to catch them. Told whoever he couldn't cash the money orders until he provided the bank with "insurance" of $100.00. Stupid scammer overnighted him a $100 bill *rofl*
  17. If you are interested, I have a full wedding favors sheet with all of my products (including candles) that you can look off of for pricing. My pricing may be a little different though since I buy in such large bulk, but it may get you started KristinesShower@aol.com - and I will email it to you. (or whoever else is interested in taking a peek)
  18. We use oxides, ums and clays - always mixed the same way. When they come in, we take a cup of avocado oil, 1 tsp of vitamin E and desired colorant. Mix like crazy until we get the color we want, then put in fridge until we need it for soap. This has worked the best for us - there is never any spots or unmixed color, it comes out perfect every time.
  19. I use 4 different ones from Brambleberry. They work great, but you have to let the soap sit for about 5 days - then you get a PERFECT impression!
  20. Martha Mold at KMart and the crinkle cutter can be found in the kitchen utensils in WalMart. HTH
  21. I would think they would be ok - they sure are cute!! Yes I use the meatballer, and I don't think the bigger ones will fit. You would have to get something for ostrich eggs and so far, the only thing I've come up with is the foam/corrugated that you can get from produce at the store. I can't remember where it was on the net, but there is a site that carries these in bulk.
  22. I really don't know about the poly - I've never had anyone complain, but I don't think my customers keep them very long either lol
  23. Robin - you gotta stop posting that picture!! YOU MAKE ME DROOL EVERY TIME I SEE IT !!
  24. No, I just close the lids with the clear ones. When I wholesale bathbombs I use the 30 pack cardboard type and wrap those in plastic.
  25. I do the 2 and 6oz tins (the 2oz is only for our wedding, bridal, etc favors & samplers) & that is all we do. We go through about 700 tins a month (6oz) and about 1,000 tins every 3 months (2oz) I did however get some cases of the metro jars from fancycandlejars.com & I am interested to see how the tins do after I introduce the new jars.
